Looming rail strike and transportation delays

Are Warren Buffett’s (I think he owns BNSF) profits being affected if they go on strike? Why are politicians getting involved in this?

It would cause series issues for the country, not just in terms of delivering cars. Fuel (for transportation, heating, etc) is a big one as well as use in regards to military purposes. A lot of things depend on our railway system and other modes of transport can't make up for the deficit.

this. Many chemicals are also transported over rail. As well as diesel which supports the trucking industry as well. And poop from nyc to Alabama…
