Just a heads up for everyone, I installed the Koyo radiator today, and the PRL HVI doesn’t fit with it.

I removed the bracket that holds it to the front radiator support to try and get a little more room, but even then you can just barely get the bolts in to the top plastic duct piece.

When all is said and done, the intake is still pressed very very firmly in to the fan shroud.

Why did you install an aftermarket radiator?

Did you upgrade intercooler or something?

I just installed HVIK and IAT is higher than stock airbox. Was thinking of upgrading intercooler but then don't want to have to upgrade to a different radiator just to do that.

Any insight would help?

Hmm.. Wonder how the Koyo fits with the stock air inlet. Thank you for posting.

With the stock intake there was about 0.5” of clearance in between the intake duct to the air box and the fan shroud. I reinstalled your guys intake a few days ago though. Tune didn’t like the stock intake, even with a K&N filter.

I found that if I put a bolt through the forward most hole on the intake bracket, and rear most bolt hole on the radiator support it pushed the intake back enough to not be crushing itself in to the fan shroud.

I live in Phoenix. 115+ degree summers are not nice to cars. I’ve heard from people in this climate running the PRL intercooler + 27won intake duct is too much, and they’ve dealt with a lot of overheating issues. MAPerformance also had it for like $490 so I figured why not.

The radiator made a massive difference, cruising around my coolant temps were probably 10-15 degrees apart. With the Koyo radiator they’re anywhere from 60-80 degrees apart.
