2025 CTR with 350 miles on her:

I just received my new AWE exhaust for my FL5 today. Removed all the piping from the box and was happy to find no issues. The box containing the tips was in excellent condition. I opened the box to check that the exhaust tips were not damaged, and again, everything appeared fine. Within that box in a separate foam area, I located the exhaust gasket sealed in bubble wrap. I took it out of the bubble wrap to inspect, and my heart sank a little. I located the gasket creased in two areas, to the point that I can begin to see a small crack at the top surface of one of the two creases.

I did send in a help ticket to AWE to get their input tonight as well.

My questions for the community are:

1. Upon inspection of the gasket, is this something that I can use safely without worry, or should I just wait for either AWE to replace it or purchase new elsewhere if not?

2. May I reuse the factory one?

3. Does anyone have the part number for the correct one that will work with the AWE 3" exhaust?

Thanks everyone, for any assistance regarding this matter.

I've never seen an exhaust gasket that looks like that, but I digress.

Based on the photo there's no material issue with that gasket as far as I can tell. You can use it as is or wait on AWE to see if they will send out a replacement.

Thanks for the input. I admit. The material is alot thicker and more shiny then I have ever seen an exhaust gasket be. However, I cant help that is what they sent. AWE is know for there quality stuff. I cant imagine it being junk. I am just concerned the gases will blow through the teo areas that are creased. I will wait to see if AWE replies today.
