@ThunderPigeon I've confirmed the FL5 does not have a mounting structure, and also the roof liner curves up with little room, hence the measurements would help a ton. If the length works out, I'm willing to give it a go.
Did you end up giving this a try? I'm tempted as well, but I'd look to do it while installing a Homelink mirror.

it won’t fit flush like it does in the Si. The FL5 headliner is different.

Looking to do this in my 2024 EX Civic while I'm swapping out the rear view mirror. Looks like the mounting structure is present and matches what I'm seeing in the SI pictures from the original post.

Anyone see anything different in the mounting structure on the EX based on my photos? Reading above it wasn't compatible for the sport and just wanted to get a second opinon in this before I start cutting.

Thanks!

I just did this last night, along with the mirror swap. It went very easily. In case anyone needs a tip on how to make a template, below are pictures from my template creation; I put masking tape down on the flanges, taped it to a sheet of cardboard, then slipped out (pulled very hard) the new unit.

One bit of advice: if you don't cut the hole long enough, the headliner will push against the plastic and the sunglass holder will rub on the shell. You'll know it's too tight if the holes for the screws don't line up centered in the mounting area.

How did you get all the lights, etc out of the housing so you could transfer them to the new part?

I didn't need to swap them since I grabbed the whole assembly from a wrecked Integra. But from other parts I have taken apart, there are probably screws and clips holding them on in the back.

There absolutely are but for the life of me I can't get anything out of the assembly. Wahhhhhhh.
