I used the styrofoam tool tray, and yes it spoils the load floor a little bit (maybe an inch higher than without it) but I figured why not, it holds the jack, wrench, etc pretty securely AND the load floor is actually already spoiled once you make the choice to install the FK8 spare. The whole thing is completely reversible though, remove tire and install OEM FL5 floor.
Note: don’t actually use the little strap handle on the FK8 floor as it pulls right off. It’s held on with two staples. I may use a small truss head screw with washer and nyloc nut to reattach it, or might not.

Is there a trunk tray/liner that fits well with the FK8 spare? I got the FL5 tray before deciding to retrofit the spare kit, and it works but not smoothly or cleanly. I'd love to find a tray that fits well with the spare kit.

Probably would have to go to a cargo area carpet vs. plastic tray.

Put the tire kit in, then the new cargo floor piece, and your TypeR tray and don’t worry about it.

I balled up two large towels (one holds the scissor jack), and placed on right and left sides of the spare, to kind of support the wings of the floor

Where did you get the kit from?

Honda Parts Now shows part number 06421-TGH-A33ZA as a black steel wheel, not yellow aluminum wheel, or do they have the wrong image?

I went to my local Honda dealer as it was cheaper than getting it online though I had to price match with two separate dealers since one of them had the final price to around $600 and the other one had the price at about $369

I’m pretty sure it was the yellow one. I believe those are just stock photos that you see online though I could be wrong but everywhere I look at the diagrams show the yellow style spare.

weird, that's not what I am seeing at Honda Parts Now, though the price is the same as in your image.

I will contact local SoCal stealerships will not match prices, and some want more than suggested prices...

What's the final price on Honda Parts Now after shipping? I know you can pick it up at some dealers with DreamShop so you can avoid shipping charges. I don't think I would care whether it's black or yellow as it's only a spare that'll get me to limp home.
