Alright guys — wanted to share something I’m really excited about.

I first saw someone post about Infinity Design in another group, and it grabbed my attention. I didn’t know much at first, but after doing a ton of research, watching install videos, reading up on their dyno testing, and digging into how the parts are made, I was honestly blown away.

We’re now an authorized U.S. dealer for Infinity Design, and proud to offer their FL5 carbon fiber intake system and turbo inlet pipe to the community.

? What Makes These Parts So Special?

Let’s be real — it’s easy to get distracted by intakes that claim big peak HP numbers. But Infinity Design is different. These aren’t parts thrown together for marketing or for being massed produced (We all can tell who does this), they’re engineered from the ground up with thermal management, airflow optimization, and real-world drivability in mind.

Here’s what sets them apart:

? It’s NOT just about peak power
Infinity’s intake was designed to keep intake temps as close to stock as possible. That means no heat soak, even when things get hot under the hood. Their design uses a sealed airbox and draws from the OEM front duct, with an 80% larger opening and increased airbox volume for smoother, cooler airflow.

? Precision-engineered for the FL5
They ran CFD simulations and MAHA dyno testing to optimize the shape, flow paths, and resonance. You get not only gains in horsepower but also faster spool and stronger midrange torque where it actually matters.

? Materials and build quality are next level
This is 100% pre-preg carbon fiber — no fiberglass cores, no cheap layering. The fit and finish is on par with OEM+, and the pieces are built in small batches with serious attention to detail.

? Dyno-proven results
They saw gains of +14–20 hp and +15 lb-ft torque from 3000–7000 RPM. It’s not hype, the curves show real improvement across the entire powerband.

? There are great videos and dyno charts available on their site and on YouTube if you want to dive deeper. Here are some

? Turbo Inlet Too? Yes.

The Infinity Carbon Turbo Inlet complements the intake by reducing turbulence at the turbo entry point and improving overall intake tract velocity. Combine the two and you get a complete high-flow, heat-managed system that really wakes the car up.

Here’s where to grab them:

? If they’re not in stock here, we sold out of our first batch before they arrived. They are made to order for now and they ship direct from the UK. processing time 2-4 business days and 3-10 when shipped to your door.

? Final Thoughts

If you're serious about modding your FL5 with functional upgrades, not just noise and carbon for the sake of carbon, this setup is 100% worth it. It's not mass produced. It's not a knock-off. It’s performance engineering done right and trust me, the driveability improvement is as noticeable as the dyno numbers.

I’ve got one going on my own FL5 — I’ll keep you all posted with install notes and results soon ??

? Thank You Civic XI – And a Quick FL5 Update

Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone in the Civic XI community for an awesome weekend — the support means a lot!

Instead of running a sale this time, I decided to use the opportunity to highlight something I think a lot of you will appreciate: the Infinity Design carbon fiber intake system for the Civic Type R FL5.

This system isn’t just for show — it’s been engineered with real R&D behind it:

  • CFD-tested for smooth airflow
  • Designed to prevent heat soak
  • Dyno proven gains (+14–20hp / +15 lb-ft)
  • Built from true pre-preg carbon fiber — not fiberglass-core knockoffs
  • Direct fit and paired perfectly with their carbon turbo inlet

If you're planning serious mods or just want to maximize the FL5 platform, this setup is 100% worth looking into. We’re proud to be an authorized U.S. dealer for Infinity Design and are here to help with any questions.

Feel free to message me if you want more info, install feedback, or anything else.

Appreciate all the support as always! ?

Just a few answers to some questions that were being asked.

Multiple orders should arrive this week to my customers and I am sure more feedback and posts will be reported.

Infinity Design Team are great people and are very open to feedback and improving their products so any ideas or issues please reach out directly to me as I am in close contact with them.

Biggest concern is that inside the intake its not smooth
It is because Pre Preg carbon fibre products are always rough on the inside and this does not have any effect on performance at all.

Supplied are 2 x EPDM's. One has a much thicker wall than the other hence why the clamp did not fit. We supply this one because some people are too rough with them and tear the normal ones.

The wiring loom issue at the bottom of the airbox is not something we noticed in our scans or while fitting them to any other cars and nor have we ever experienced any feedback like this.

The airbox is very large, yes it will be a little harder to get into place than a stock one but once its at the right location its perfect.

On that note I will do free shipping+5% off for 48 hours on the Glossy Version only intake/inlet pipe that is ready to be shipped quick. message me here or email [email protected]

Can you really tout OEM+ fitment? It's been documented by several the install wasn't exactly clean and required "improvisation" (i.e., mounting points not lining up, questionable clearances, etc.). Operator error goes out the window when you hear a chorus of the same or similar comments. I do not believe this to be a one off and that's fine, but positioning this product as one with OEM+ fitment is not on the level. And there are likely people who aren't commenting publicly because there's a belief in a corner of the car enthusiast realm that aftermarket parts aren't supposed to fit like OEM parts which I believe is ludicrous, especially parts billed as high quality or premium. And I'm not saying Infinity Design doesn't make a fine intake system. By all accounts it seems they do; however, level setting on fitment is only fair.

Totally fair points, and I appreciate you taking the time to lay it all out. When I said OEM+, that was just my personal take based on the design quality, finish, and how well the system integrates with the factory setup not that it drops in with factory perfect tolerances cause that is mostly impossible with aftermarket parts lol

I don’t work for Infinity or was part of the design team so everything I post is just my opinion. It uses the factory front air duct and mounts securely at the front and rear like the stock airbox, so that’s why I personally felt comfortable calling it OEM+ in terms of function and how it’s built. No extra modification is needed even though its a huge box.

That said, I totally get where you’re coming from. If more people are having to adjust or finesse the fit a bit, then yeah, that’s worth pointing out. I’ve seen a mix online too some installs go smooth, others take some effort. Honestly, that’s pretty typical for a lot of aftermarket stuff, especially on newer platforms like the FL5 where tolerances can vary a bit from car to car and everyone has their own experience with installing parts. Most people on this platform I have noticed are new to the game.

When I say OEM+, I’m talking more about how it functions, fits the stock components, the materials used, and how it looks once installed not that it clicks into place like the stock one. It’s a big box, so getting it in takes some patience. But once it’s in, it fits tight and works as intended.

Appreciate your input it’s conversations like this that help people make more informed decisions. If you do end up grabbing one, shoot me a message. I’ll hook you up with a bit extra off so you can document the install for yourself and we can relay any issues to them. I’ve sent feedback to Infinity before from my customers and always got a solid response.

6 other customers are recieving their intake systems this week and even more next week so I will keep this thread updated for sure.

Once I get around to installing mine I will also post it.

Here is a few common concerns so far:

“The inside of the intake isn’t smooth.”
Pre-preg carbon fiber usually has a rough interior. That’s normal and doesn’t affect performance.

“One of the couplers didn’t fit with the clamp.”
They include two EPDM couplers — one thicker, one thinner — since some people tear the thinner one during install. Use whichever fits better.

“ The clearance is tight and hits the wiring for the radiator fans .”
They didn’t see that during scanning or test fits, and haven’t heard that from other customers, but they’re keeping an eye on it.

“It’s hard to get the airbox in.”
it’s a big piece. You’ve got to finesse it into place a bit, but once it’s in, it fits properly.

Just want to jump in here to comment on two points:

1 - the coupler issue. It took about an hour, some lubricant, and using a wrench to leverage and install the intake into the OEM coupler and inlet pipe. You reference a thinner coupler, that does not ship with the package. I purchased straight from Infinity Design around the start of the year. The OEM coupler fits, but I can't fit one of the oem worm clamps on it. I reached out to Infinity design, and they said to install with the oem coupler and they were no longer providing their own coupler. This was back around January. If you're selling that other coupler, I'd like to see if it's a better fit and I can get two worm clamps on it. Otherwise, I may try the PRL coupler, that seems like it may fit as well because it fits with the oem intake and inlet pipe.

2 - the wiring harness makes contact with the inlet. It's scraped off some of the clearcoating on the inlet pipe. It also occasionally pushes that wiring harness against the belt (timing?) Near the harness. I've temporarily put some heat resistant tape between the points of contact to prevent any further scraping or damage, but for a lot this expensive, you'd hope it wouldn't self destruct like this.

Otherwise, it is beautiful, the sound is amazing, and the butt dyno is happy. If you or the team at Infinity Design want some photographs of these issues, or want to jump on a video call to check it out, I'm happy to oblige, because this system is otherwise awesome, and I'd be happy to help save others dropping serious dime on this kit from experiencing these frustrations.

Just shot you a message. Also want to be clear, I love this thing, but wanted to share my experience because I did deal with a few issues that based on your response might have been resolved.
