Hello guys,
I previously posted about a vibration issue on my FL5 Civic Type R. Thanks to everyone who showed interest and tried to help me out.

I finally took it to the mechanic, and the verdict was both front wheel bearings—exactly what I was most afraid of.

While searching online, I found that nobody sells the wheel hub separately except the Honda dealership. I came across on ebay ( TRQ Wheel Hub Assembly ) FK8 Type R wheel hubs, and from what I can tell, everything (bolt-on fitment, studs, spline, specs ) match the FL5.

Just to be sure—has anyone actually done this swap before? Or has anyone found an alternative part that fits the FL5 and is easier to get?

Thanks in advance!

Got it. Sorry I cannot help with a site for your ask, however I would error on the side of caution and get genuine OEM Honda parts for this job. It might hurt the wallet but the peace of mind knowing you have parts that are manufactured to spec for your specific car and application should be most important. Pay once- Cry Once. You go to EBAY for a cheap front lip not to replace an integral part of your car. Either way, I wish you the best of luck in your search my guy.

I would only install Honda bearings. I've never worn out Honda bearings. Unlike VW/Porsche/Audi and Subaru's, where they regularly wearout and are no fun to replace.
