I welcome this assessment, because I mostly agree. I'm looking to replace my seats with Bride or Recaro at some point. I suppose it's a fair comparison to the CTR suspension, some people don't mind the seats, some people swear they hate them. I don't hate them at all, in fact I think they're actually very comfortable for their intended purpose and look nice- but I won't argue they could be better for track use, so I'll likely replace them.

That wasn't very difficult, right? If you present a valid argument, we can have a conversation.
I was just making a joke. Any shortcomings in these cars are easily remedied. My ITS module should be in next week but I'm far more excited about upgrading the exhaust and the rear view mirror.

I was thinking the omission of the sunglasses holder up there was the issue. I miss having that thing. For all the talk the past couple years of what a great, usable interior the Civic offers, to me it seems fairly lacking in interior storage space. Not a lot of cubbies.

Coming from MK7 GTI, to FK8, it was nice that FK8 had so many interior storage places. I watched the StraightPipe video of that car and that really sold me on the practicality of the car(despite the goofy look). FL5 is rather lacking in this respect.

I test drove a DE5 and it is an interesting car. For the most part IMO it's the same as the Honda but with minor changes throughout. Seems to have a slightly more aggressive tune.

The Type S is priced $9K (before tax) more the Honda, $53,600 I think it was ... that's a lot of extra loot for slightly nicer interior with one power seat, no cool R mode/S2000 dash display, more quiet ride / more insulation and a slightly crackly exhaust. I didn't find the comfort mode all that much softer than the Type R ... it was somewhat nicer overall but not enough to buy a module. Hard to say for sure on a limited test drive.

I'm an Acura fan from my Type S RSX days but think I'm glad to have the Honda... it's a more edgy, more radical and better looking car. The Honda is more boy racer in some ways which for an older guy might seem out of place ... doesn't bother me, in fact I like it but suppose one can always delete the wing and tone it down a bit like the Acura is.
