Actually i believe where the BOv is positioned now right out of the bypass, its as if, its venting back up to the intake. I could be wrong, but this position is very well though-out and has kept my mpg the same and no hiccups at idle, or even revving. Also being on the cold side of the Turbo it’s much more beneficial. But i’m just judging by what i see. Further testing would need to be made to draw a conclusion if the new location is actually better than that of the FK8 bov location. FL5 bov is before the intercooler, fk8 is after, so they definitely have a different affect on the system
Hey! Any updates to this setup? Been a few months and am wondering if everything feels okay still, drives fine, no issues etc.

Car feels great and strong, no hesitation like on the FK8. idles perfectly with no issue. The BOV position on the FL5 makes the sounds louder than on the Fk8.

Nice! My HKS BOV finally just shipped today, I had to wait a little bit longer than usual, but that’s because I bought the full recirculating kit. Curious to see how it’ll sound like with my RV6 carbon inlet and Infinity Design intake. I would assume it’ll be slightly muffled, but still noticeable.

Is there a BOV for the FL5 that produces the flutter sound?

Would I need a larger turbo with the HKS SSQV or would pairing it with the stock turbo also produce that sound?
Do you mean flutter like this?

^That's @SBX Performance 's car when he had the Kuro turbo and RV6 bypass. My MHI Stg 2.0 turbo and HKS SSQV vented to atmosphere does that same flutter.

I'm not 100% sure, maybe others with the stock turbo and HKS SSQV can chime in. Personally, I never got the flutter sound when I had the HKS SSQV paired with the stock turbo, but you will still get the iconic high pitched HKS blow off sound that others have posted on this thread with the stock turbo and HKS SSQV.

The closest to a flutter sound you’re going to get is swapping out the oem bypass for the RV6 one. And you’ll get this sound.
