I’ve visited every thread on here about the sportlines- I like to ride low but I’m wondering if anybody had any regrets. Especially on a daily. I’m in nashville so roads aren’t bad and I have a slammed EK that I have no real problems with.

Are the sportlines “too low”?

post pics if you have them

Eibach sportlines are my go-to springs recommendation for anyone who wants it as low as possible on springs (one of the biggest drops there are), until you go coilovers.

Also have been running sportlines on our FK8 for years now .

Here is our FL5 on sportlines with 265/35/18 and 18x9.5 +45. This was before ohlins and 18x10 and 285s

Sportlines are great for what they are, providing an aggressive drop with a stiffer spring rate to match. No regrets with mine, but you better be sure you want an aggressive stance. Otherwise go with the Pro Kit.

Pics below are on 265/35/18.

I don't have Sportlines, I have the Pro-kit, but I still wanted to chime in that I do have regrets. I should have went straight to coilovers with adjustable camber plates.

My primary reason though won't be relevant to everyone, I've described my issues with what happens with the camber when you lower the car by swapping springs so won't go into too much detail here. Suffice to say it makes the car understeer to the point I wanted to rip my hair out at during my first autocross event- but it wasn't noticeable driving on the street. It wasn't until I was plowing through cones that I realized I fucked up.

It's correctable with lower ball joints, and apparently there is an adjustable strut mount for the FK8 that someone showed me that should fit- but my point here is that if you plan to do anything remotely considered competitive make sure you account for that or it can make you hate your car. I went -3.5 in the front and left the rear where it landed after the springs at -2.5, and the car feels right now, especially after switching to 200 TW tires.

And also one final note for consideration- DSC sport just announced they'll be shipping out dynamic suspension control modules for our cars at the end of this month. These will only work with the stock adjustable dampers so this is another thing that maybe would turn back any regrets with my approach, but I have to see some testimonials first before going that route. Otherwise I'm still waiting on these promised HRC parts to arrive, if they don't at least give me a date before spring I'll likely end up with Ohlins.

All this is irrelevant if you just plan to drive on the street, or drag race.

To be clear, I will not be doing any sort of racing or even aggressive driving. I’m only going for a decent ride and a good look
