East Coast FL5 Delivery Estimates/Confirmations

I just got an email from a New England dealer that a "third wave" car would be arriving any day now, possibly today. Has anyone else heard anything similar? This would be ahead of schedule...

Last week I was told the car has made it to the last rail yard Brookfield MA I believe. Just waiting to hear when the truck picks it up. They didn't say exactly when just they would be notified when it happens. Then could arrive a day or 2 after.

I guess you called in on the day Type-R pricing was released? I was in contact with the same guy I bought my Si from last year. On the day pricing came out, I texted him and asked him to add me, but he was out of the office and said I'd have to wait until the next day. I should've said screw that and called into someone else.

I asked around at other dealers in the area which are all either sold or high ADMs. The best one so far is Hardin County Honda in E-town who are asking a 7k ADM.

@midway1 - i am thinking of dropping out as well - so you need to find 2nd and 3rd. i have put my money down with Another dealer in Indiana who should be getting it anytime now @4.5k ADM though. Could not wait - i frankly tried to resist the urge but wife gave the blessing since it was not too much of difference from 2.5k.

Oh wow good for you and me. Honda World had a red car in the first wave so that either went to 2nd or 3rd. With you out that means best case I'm next and worst case I'm the one after. Who knows when they'll get their 2nd and 3rd allocations though.

Can someone explain this to me. My salesman text me today. Saying car has finally been build. It shouldn’t take long now.
I thought FL5 after having vin is already built. It’s been about 3 weeks since it had an ETA pending

My salesman just txtd me saying car is 4hr from Chicago in IL & he got a truck load of CRV today. So he expects to get in next 2days. but case was same 3weeks ago as well - only difference being, he knows the location of car trailer, which he never mentioned prior to this (my hopes are up again). My VIN : *883

So @Vinceiscoo - your should have been built before mine & should be enroute to dealer now.

That’s great news for you. I was thinking it was in route since I made the deposit. I see cars with 11XX vins being on lot in the northeast.

it was 2/17~2/22. i think there is some kind of issue with IN, OH, PA on delivery, maybe the train derailment caused it (pure speculation from my part).

Wow that's lucky. I was 5th in line at Honda World in Louisville when I reserved. Hopefully everyone in front of me gets tired of waiting too. They are pretty good about ADM and are only doing about a 2.5k dealer add-on package. I'm willing to do a 5k ADM so I'll check out Gates and the others around the area to see what they say.

I ended up first in line at BOTH a honda dealer AND a toyota dealer due to several factors: 1) delivery taking so long, 2) they preferred a local purchase, 3) not enough people who wanted/could drive a manual xmission, and 4) markup. Needless to say, i didn't go for the high markup either. also, the car that was coming into the toyota dealership was a core model, and they wanted MORE money for that than i was paying for the R. No wonder i went from 16th to 1st at that place. geesh.

yes, thank you. It has been in transit for a while now since Jan end; keeping my fingers crossed for next 2days. I had my hopes up 3weeks back; then, it kind of died down when nothing showed up. No hurry, but i do not want my car sitting in rail yard with dust and bird shit on it for months either.
