So I finally got my car last week and the paint is completely wrecked. The hood and roof was resprayed at the factory and it looks like a 12 year old did it. All the seals have paint over spray on them. It can't be corrected or polished out either as the defects are under the clear coat. Not sure what's going to happen.

I am so sorry to hear this, Mr Trizzle. As I recall and hearing other people on this Forum talk about something like this ? I think the dealership has to disclose any damage to the vehicle before you signed on the dotted line.
I can’t speak to how someone else would approach this, but I would talk to the GM ,First. And if you don’t get what you want? Honda Corporate next. And if still no solution? Time to call an Attorney who specializes in consumer protection! Good Luck with your dilemma. And don’t forget to mention all the shipping delays!

It's actually on Honda. The dealership has been very receptive to getting it fixed. They delivered my car right off the truck so we didn't discover the damage until we pulled off the rubber coating. Nothing the dealership could've known about. They are supposed to disclose any damage in shipping to the dealer and they didn't. Course corporate is closed for the holiday but they promised to reach out first thing in the morning to see what our next step is. I'm really hoping it just takes a wetsand and reclear to fix it all but I just want them to pay for that. The guy who is doing my correction and coating thinks he can fix it so that would be ideal. All in all though I love the car. Just got 15% IRX tint all around and she looks great with it.

Mine was almost immediately taken to a third party professional Detailing Shop, to be clayed and ceramic coated. They sent me pictures that could only be seen under a light. I paid them to correct, clay and ceramic coat the car and didn’t even ask the dealership for anything! I asked about warranty and decided not to waist my time. $750 later, my car is perfect and glad I did. Good luck with your endeavor !
With Kind Regards PS there was another post here that stated about your same type of problem ,their dealership offered to pay up to $750 for a complete correction and to ceramic coat the car with a similar problem. It’s on the forum somewhere from a month ago.

Same here. Unfortunately the delays made scheduling difficult so I couldn't get it in for the correction and coating until next week. This is going to take more than a correction though as it's under the clear coat. Even the service manager agreed that this was very irregular paint.

I really don't think so. In my opinion it looks like it was damaged in shipping and they tried to repair it at the port but did a poor job. Mine was delayed especially long so maybe that is a reason it took so long.

What the f**k? Damn, I'm so sorry this happened, especially after waiting so long. Honda owes you a complete restoration.

I'm starting to think the reason some of these cars waited so long to leave are quality control checks and fixes.

Honda dealers must disclose damage $500 or more but I don't think that applies to the manufacturer.

When the car arrives to the dealer with issues we take it up with Honda.
