So I feel like I have seen threads (on this and other forums) discussing the expected production runs for the DE5 and FL5 but I can't seem to find the answer to this question (probably just missing it): While I believe the FL5 is expected to have one more year (i.e. 2025) I can't determine whether there is an expectation about the DE5 and whether it will get a full three years, meaning the last year will be 2026. Or will the DE5 also end in 2025. Sharing of any thoughts, opinions, rumors, (references to threads I messed), etc. would be appreciated.

They plan to stop making the FL5 next year? No way.

2025 is the 5th year of the production cycle of the 11th generation Civic. There is a good chance MY 2026 will be the last year of this entire generation. Remember that the Type R was 2023 which is one year after the 2022 start of this generation.

They make them in a separate factory. I can see the production running into the next gen base civic, a la M3.

This x1000. It's been all speculation from even before the official press release.

@us17094 Perhaps you're trying to decide how much time you have to buy one (FL5 or DE5) before they go out of production. Take no solace in the information you read here or anywhere else that isn't an authoritative source. My advice: If you're interested in purchasing will you be comfortable losing an opportunity to purchase a new example when the music stops? If not, I would get one as soon as your situation allows and not try to time an unknown production end date.

Fortunately, I picked up a 2024 FL5 in March. Actually trying to do some longer term planning. My oldest will be ready to inherit my Accord in the 2026 model year and I already have the wife on board to let me take the CTR if we replace it with DE5.
