So! A while back after seeing many of you post interior updates for your FL5s, it got me wanting to upgrade my interior. the FL5 already has great seats so no need to upgrade that, the center console and steering wheel on the other hand could use an upgrade. I've been aware of Carismo Design from my Acura TLX days, they had good reviews from the TLX Facebook groups so I looked into them.
I also appreciated the greatt amount of options they had available for the 11th gen Civic. After looking over what was available I wanted something that looked JDM with out the JDM tax. See the pics below:
It arrived well packaged and sealed with a little thank you note that's a nice touch.
Nice Gift wrap.
Doesn't this look JDM AF?!?!
Took it to the top secret lab located at 5750 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308. Too bad I can't show you what diabolical plans go down there, use your imagination, bonus points if you can tell me where this is
Nothing like when you're interior goes from this
to this

So I bet you wanna hear about the wheel itself, well; put simply it's amazing!
At first it took some getting used to because it's noticably thicker than the stock wheel and also the indentations at the 9-3 position inform how you hold the wheel alot more than on the stock wheel. The perforated leather feels premium, smells good and works great if you get sweaty hands. The stitching on the wheel is just as good as OEM with very consistent spacing patterns throughout the entire circumference of the wheel. NOW onto the sixth elemnt in the room!
The carbon looks, feels and smells quality(yes, high quality carbon has a smell, if you didn't know then maybe you should sniff some more carbon?
)
I'm now afraid to touch the top and bottom half of the wheel caused I would hate to scratch the carbon. Therefore forcing me to hold the wheel in the correct position at 10 & 2 instead of the good ole gangsta lean. There were zero fitment issues with getting the wheel on, when matching it with the OEM wheel there no discernable difference between the two.
The center stripe is a necessary and neat touch for the wanna-be race car drivers amongst us.
All in all you can't go wrong with this wheel, Carismo were great to work with because the matte carbon top and bottom trim aren't immediately available on their site but just shoot them an email and I had a response and update in no time.
Check out their site and tell em ASPEC sent yah: Carismo Design
