There’s a CTR in NL posted 2 days ago sitting for 50K with 2900km for those who don’t mind a little travelling.

My local deal called me yesterday. The salesman asked me if I was still interested in buying the Type R for the deposit I gave 2 years ago…

Problem is that I bought a 2024 GR Corolla circuit edition and I love it.

I knew this day would come as I have been the next in line since I gave the deposits (at Honda and Toyota) 2 years ago.

The idea was to buy the first one that shows up and trade for the other one if I did like it.

I wish I could have both, but I believe I will have no other choice than asking for my deposit back.

The type r is the only color I wanted; white. This is just sad :(
This is surprising. Most are the opposite regarding the GRC and CTR. I'm a GRC CE owner and maybe looking to switch to a CTR but with dealers limited supply and mandatory add-ons, is making me stay put for now.

Great news

Just got a call from my dealer confirming that my CW Type R is on route on a ship somewhere in asia:headbang: It should be here in three to four weeks. I hope it's a 2025.

The problem now is that I already bought a used 2023 SGP in january wiht 2400km thinking I might never get a chance to get one. I think I will probably sell this one and keep the CW since it's my first color of choice but I also loved my SGP. I know first world problem.

I would like to keep both lol...I don't know. What's the point on having two of the same car. I should give a chance to another CTR fan too enjoy this amazing car.

What do you guys Think?

Congrats! Which province and dealership if you don't mind me asking.

The idea is that the GRC will become my winter car at some point in the futur, heated seats and heated steering plus awd is a no brainer for me.

I assume your winters are a lot worse than they are here in Ontario. We get a few major drops over the winter months, but hasn’t been consistent in years. The GRC likely makes more sense being more “all weather” vehicle. That said, I’m putting my CTR in storage in a week or two, and switching to my old car for the winter.

I’d say you still have time, at least till spring next year. It may be worth while to keep an eye on the used market. Pricing has come down a lot and is sure to come down more as MY25 come in. The ITS is another option as well.

You’ve waited this long, another 3-4 months isn’t going to hurt. And besides, we heading into winter now, the time to really enjoy the car is coming to an end here in Ontario anyway.

No plans to stop waiting until they are officially done. After waiting patiently in line (deposit in before it was even officially revealed) I refuse to buy used Id rather buy another brand at that point out of spite tbh. ITS no longer interests me just isn't special enough. Hate being salty about this but yeah its been a long wait with nothing to show for it.

Totally get it man, been there too... and you've been waiting longer than I did.

It'll be worth the wait.
