Canadian dealer asked what colour Type R I want

The infotainment is almost an user-unfriendly system, but as is the case with everything, there would be a longer than normal learning curve with it, and I'll curse it every time I use it, but the driving dynamics will more than make up for it, and AWD is always a boon for Canadian winters.

Their manual is def not as good as CTR, but I won't lie I'd still go for the manual.

And to be completely honest, I actually enjoyed driving my old Genesis Coupe vs my Golf R. Biggest reason I decided against 2023 Golf R

2024 is refresh year, new infotainment coming for mk8. Might be worth waiting.

I almost recalled 3 deposits. Put in M2 order. Done playing stupid games with Honda. I left 1 out just incase. But so over this.

Yes I saw the leaked images too, which supposedly had a 15in touchscreen instead of the 10in that the current model has. From what I could make out, the bigger screen would eat up into the windscreen viewing area, and I'd rather have a smaller touch screen rather than having something blocking my field of view.

To be fair, prior to having screens enthusiasts had to resort to 10+ gadgets to monitor boost, AFR, timing etc etc .

I'll gladly take screens to having A pillar mounted pods and shit all over my dash lol.

But those gauges are how you can tell if its an enthusiast car or not ? they are classic imo

Don't get me wrong, i love the new digital cockpits, but 8 to 10in screen should be plenty. some cars come with 15 now... And Tesla I don't even know how big it is, but it's big. And I don't like tablet style screens, at least keep it nice and clean.

I was asked for my colour choice when my dealer took my credit card and ID details for Stripe. That was many months ago. Checked in with dealer last week; they have not heard what their allocations are going to be as of yet. Another couple of local dealers have yet to hear from Honda as well, however I am not on their lists.

Curious to see how it stacks up to the shifter in my S2000. Even then, the best shifter I ever tried was a Mk 1 Miata. That thing was butter; even better than Honda.

Also, looks like a white FL5 arrived at a Quebec dealer for media drives based on post in the main wait-list thread. Sounds like it's behind US schedule for media drives. So not sure we'll get info and release at same time as US.

I visited my local dealer today and they told me they still have nothing, last they heard anything is back in June that the launch would be November and that's it. Idk if they really have no clue or just being tight lipped about it. Btw it was a sales manager i talked to.
