Can someone identify this noise? Waste gate rattle?

I started hearing a metallic vibration come from the engine bay/dash area. It usually occurs at cruising highway speeds on the right side (driver's side here in Australia). I thought it might be something loose in the engine bay, but everything seems OK. Occasionally, it will faintly start at lower speeds but not for very long. What is attached are two short recordings (headphones required due to normal tire/engine noise) where you can hear it clearly. Anybody have any guesses? Cheers!

Doesn't sound like my experience with this issue. Mine could easily be replicated with the throttle; sounds like your issue is independent of throttle application. If that's the case it may not be related to the wastegate.
