Just installed the PRL HVI and took the family out for a test drive. Went putsing around town for a good half hour with no issues, enjoying the new noise.

Stopped at a store and afterwards, the car started buzzing around 3k rpm. It’s brief under hard acceleration but downshifting to 2nd and coasting, it’s pretty loud.

I went back and checked all my bolts on the intake and all are tight. Intake box is solid on there.

Here’s a video I took but unfortunately the volume came out kind of faint.

Could be a boost leak but those are usually more of a hiss. Do your PSI's look normal when you accelerate?

How did you remove the tube running from the valve cover to the intake? That was the hardest part I had during my installation.

Mine doesn't sound like that with a PRL intake of throttle. Make sure that the couplers are fully seated and everything is tight.

I twisted the rubber hose off essentially and tried to keep the tube in place.

I’ll have to check next time I’m out.

It’s more a buzz (almost think it’s a rattle). Definitely buzzing though.

Were you able to figure out what was causing the buzzing sound? I installed the PRL HVI on my SI and I've been having the same issue. There's no buzzing sound when the cars cold but when it warms up its definitely pretty audible.

The buzzing appears to be just interior panels, unfortunately.

I'm not sure if I'm getting additional vibration or I was more hyperaware of sound inside the car after I installed the intake (you know, to try and seek out the new intake noise) but that's when I started noticing it.

Anyway, the common culprit for me was the plastic housing behind the rear view mirror. I believe the camera is in there IIRC. Sometimes, I'll get some rattles or creaks from the dash trim that spans the AC vents on the ITS (I think it's disconnected on the FL5 vs one large piece on the DE5).
