Hi all,

I randomly received a notification in my Honda app stating that my battery voltage dropped to 11.55, I'm not sure what caused this but it's the 2nd time it's done it since I brought then car 6 months ago.

The car has 8xxxkm on it and the only mods I've done are coilovers/wheels and some suspension geometry stuff, I have replaced the engine bay bolts with titanium hardware though the battery bolts still remain OEM.

Anyone had an similar issue or know why this could be happening? I'm going to take the car to the dealership on my next book off day but yeh just curious to why it's happening, I've never had any issues starting the car or lights dimming and whatnot.

Are you sure you didn't replace the bolt that ties the negative terminal to the chassis or any other ground ties?

Hmm don't think so but I'd have to double check, titanium is a conductor though so I'm not sure if that would be the issue. I could be wrong though.

If you do some "googling", you'll find that titanium is a very poor electrical conductor. It's only about 3% of copper's conductivity!

Your battery is probably on its way out. I recommend topping off the water, which may give you a bit of extra life. Autozone can conduct a free battery test to check status. Assuming its bad, get it replaced under warranty before it dies completely and your warranty is up.

This can also happen if you're sitting in the vehicle listening to music with the engine turned off. If you don't do this, then I'd get the battery tested and replaced under warranty.

I wouldnt even waste time going down the rabbit hole of why. Id just replace the battery and look into getting an alternator second if the problem persist. Spent 3 years with my Mustang for the going down rabbit holes searching for something all because the alternator was faulty (service rep didn't want to replace it when I first brought it to them)

Ended up swapping back to the OEM grounding bolt and haven't had any issues since, tbh couldn't even remember swapping it to Ti.

Cheers for the info though all.
