I use it to keep my battery topped up for my dash cam’s parking mode. I had Blackvue’s accessory battery for the dash cam’s but my commute was too short to keep it charged for the day. So I have my cam wired to the car battery.

ha yes, dash cam parking mode ... I have one in my FL5 as well and I get low voltage notifications when drops to 11.6V (it's parked outside year-around), I think dashcam is set to stop recording at 11.6V or 11.5V, forgot (it's the VIOFO A229 Pro 2-channel)

I do not use it in the winter so it sits for 3 to 4 months. I also have other cars so I don't always drive it a lot.

Do you have a photo of this setup? Also, the NOCO-brand eyelet terminal cable is only ~19in which doesn’t reach very far, so did you extend it or pick an aftermarket cable?

I’m using some Amazon Noco style cables. And here is how I have it routed.

Here’s how it looks with the hood closed. The Amazon cables also have a cover for the plug. So if it’s going to rain I make sure I put the cap on.

I use a black and decker one. I have put several in my Del sols through the years. This is where I put it in the fl5
