Hey everyone, figured I’d finally introduce my FL5 Type R. I picked it up with the goal of building a reliable daily/track-focused setup, and I’m planning to get it on track later this year. I’ve already started adding a few performance and aero mods, with more on the way. Excited to learn from the community and share the build as it progresses.

- PRL intercooler
- PRL RMM
- PRL upraded coolant tank
- PRL rear wiper delete
- TSP Downpipe
- MHI Stage 2 turbo upgrade
- Full Race HPFP
- REMARK exhaust
- PRL strut bar
- Tuned by Drob IMW

Exterior:
- APR Swan Neck GT250
- Front Splitter - RS Splitter
- AFD side skirts & rear spats
- OLM carbon trunk spoiler
- Carbon Honda Emblem
- EVS carbon canards
- EPR MU style mirrors cap
- WOT Undertray

Interior:
- JQWERKS steering wheel
- MOMO
- EVS carbon seat delete
- OLM carbon trim
- Alcantara console
- ‎PRL strut bar

Drivetrain:
- Superspeed 76RR 18x10.5 +47
- HEL braided brake line
- Akebono brake pads
- Hybrid racing short shifter
- Hybrid racing Competition shifter
- Alignment by BSP Performance

- EVS camber joint (-2.47 front camber)

Planning few more mods next year:

18x 10.5 wow. No rubbing/issues with the camber I'm assuming? Do you think the camber was necessary?

Did you do an E-Tune with DRob? I'm in the Mansfield/Midlothian area. Maybe we'll run into each other lol

Nice. I can’t stand any silver/chrome on my car but I have to say I do like the look of your build. Very tasteful. Might change my mind.

I think you were doing your jailbreak in Dallas the same day I was back in June—if not, my bad! You just look like one of the guys who was there that day. I was checking out the wing, thinking about going with that one so I wouldn’t have to pay the “spoon tax” 🤣. But honestly, when I was looking at pictures, none of them really caught my eye.

Your car looks nice, though! I have no idea what to do with mine. The closest track to me is COTA, and their prices are outrageous. I did the Xtreme Xperience in a GT4 RS and absolutely loved it—but my wife paid $700 for just two laps 😅. I want to pick up one myself now, but that’s a conversation for another day 🤣.

I’ve never seen any events or track days posted because I don’t really hang out on social media, so I’m always out of the loop. I’d love to get on a track someday with my car. I’ve had it for about a year and a half now, around 30k miles, but it’s all highway driving.

Anyway, yours looks awesome, man! How much of your rear view is blocked by that spoiler?

Yes I was there! The wing I had on for the Jailbreak is actually for sale, in great condition and fairly cheap! I am located in Burleson. I went to COTA for F1, I'd like to drive on it one day! Around here I use APEX HPDE for local track event and they are around $250 a day with your own car!

Thank you I bookmarked this on my phone!
Start out with an HPDE, looks like OP already suggested a good one. Strongly, STRONGLY consider track insurance- accidents happen to even the best drivers, and on top of that it isn't just you driving out there. You're liable for damages if it occurs on track even if it isn't your fault. Insurance adds up (probably ~$450 per event) but it's absolutely worth it for peace of mind. Just ask @PointByPatrol - in fact search his username for threads, there is all sorts of useful information for folks just starting their HPDE/trackday journeys.
