Are there any Type R dyno results showing power output over different grades of gasoline?

I'm curious about the power levels that can be attained with a stock tune by simply running different grades of gasoline such as; 87, 89, 91, 93 and even high octane aviation fuel/race gas if anyone has ever looked into it.

I've searched but could only find a few basic dyno results on 91 vs 93 but think it would be interesting information as the Honda seems happy running on anything.

Modern ecu's will run on 87, it will just pull timing. The gas cap says 91, so I'd think power numbers are based on 91. 93 will give more headroom, preserve timing when IAT's are high. I'd reckon 93 vs 91 on a stock tune are pretty close, and probably not statistically different.

The car is not happy with anything less than 93 oct, you just don’t see it.

I'm sure it runs best on 93 and more so with a proper tune. On my factory tune and for just puttering around town, 89 -91 seems to be ok, I've never heard any pings or knocks under load.

You won’t hear them, but they are happening. I would highly suggest you do 93 if available. The lowest I recommend is at least 91.
