The ziptie mod is for every short shift adapter that extends the factory shifter rod. The mod isn't required, but it does work to fix the 'click' that can happen in all of these adapters. Not all installs will have the 'click,' but if yours does and it bothers you, then a solution doesn't have to be expensive to work ...

Yes it is!! From the factory, the 10th Gen's come with enough of a rattle feeling and sound to be unpleasant. The ALTA Shifter Cable Lockdown firms up the cable to shifter housing mount and helps to hold the cables in a far more static position, eliminating the rattle.I would never expect Honda to design their shifters to handle aftermarket shift lever extensions
