I've sold many carbon parts over the years after finally finding a reputable supplier. After going through 3 with the Porsche (techart was some of the worth quality stuff I ever got) I finally found a good one.. I will be keeping one for me.. The all leather one looks temping but not 100% sure yet. Let me know if anyone is interested. Making $50 profit on each, that's it :)

All have leather center stripe, not painted like most.

Carbon Trims - $75
Wheels - $450 shipped

Possible to get it without a center stripe or are these all one-offs you have in-hand right now?

Agree, the all black leather combo looks great. It’s subtle and sort of OEM+ which is what I like about it.

I know there’s several vendors out there. Someone else posted a few months ago, their TTD Craft aftermarket steering wheel which looked great especially seeing pics of it in the car.

All have the stripe for now. If you want I can get you one made, just pm me. Or clearly anyone can go on alibaba and find your own.. It's not easy to find a reputable source unfortunately. I lost close to 4k trying to find one. And I thought the exact same thing with the leather combo, still looks OEM.

Awesome. It’s something I’ve been thinking about and it might be a few weeks before I seriously look to buy, but we’ll see. I’ll DM you when the time comes. Appreciate the thread and seeing these different options.

Horses for courses, but aftermarket carbon wheels (especially if they are not round) look absolutely awful to me.

I feel like the wheel in the Type-R is massive in hand.. So I think the flat bottom works best, and looks better IMO.

Yeah, I would like round too TBH. Porsche likes round wheels. Honda OEM is round too. I want an OEM+ look.

These flat bottom wheels are pretty subtle, though. Ive seen some flat bottom wheels that really have a weird shape and they don’t look right.

Then again if I went with a flat bottom wheel I’d hit my leg on it less when getting in/out. ?

I hate hitting my knee on the wheel, I am 6'2 and long legged though.

How does the carbon fiber feel when steering? That’s the main concern for me. It looks awesome, but the practical side of me is telling me it’s going to feel slick and maybe less of a pleasure to grip than good ol leather.

I had the same question on the GT3 forums... I decided to go for it, 0 regrets.. It's not hard to grip nor does it get too hot (70% tint on windshield may help?). It's great though no downsides in 2,000 miles of driving thus far

Do you mind sharing info about your supplier or are you still able to obtain the all black leather steering wheel amongst the four you have in your thread? I recently purchased one through Black Hawk in Japan & the the width / diameter of the steering wheel is narrower than the FL5 OEM steering wheel; quite disappointing. Thanks for your time.
