Acuity Shifter Bushing Removal

Will a small tool like this battery terminal / wiper arm removal tool work to remove the factory shifter bushings?

The C-clips holding the cable linkage are particularly difficult to remove, and in order to not damage the cable, I thought this tool would be great as a way around not removing the C-clips. Note, this tool is small, and easily fits in the area to do the bushing removal on the linkage.

you can remove the c clip with a screwdriver and some handy work. All you need is little patience while doing it
