Any update on my car with VIN JHMFL5G41PX000872 . Dealership unable to provide ETA.
Hey! My VIN ends in 000875. I’m in Champaign, IL. Just talked to the dealer yesterday. They said my car is no longer at sea, which means it should be in CA at the port along with yours. I think we can expect delivery to our respective dealerships in the next 2-4 weeks assuming all goes smoothly. My dealer has been pretty conservative and simply said “sometime in February is likely.” I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is nice for driving. I won’t subject my car to winter / road salt ever.

My guess is at least double your estimate based on initial delivery times and cars currently in transit way past their delivery dates. It's worth the wait though.

Yeah, a lot depends on logistics and perhaps even the weather. I think first round deliveries were greatly delayed by many things (perhaps even factory production ramp-up). Even when the cars made it to CA I think lack of labor, maybe railroad strikes, and stuff like that were a factor. Some of these kinds of things may still be a factor. We’ll see what happens. I’ll be happy to take delivery in March or even April if that’s how it goes. I should be out of the winter weather season by then. I have no problems waiting. I owned my 2009 Si for 13 years! Just sold it this past fall in preparation for the CTR. I’m certain it will fill the void left by my beloved Si (and then some).?

My dealer told me that it is coming next week. My prod date was 1/10. It is going to be getting eta on Monday but he called shipping company and said they will ship tomorrow and will be arriving dealers starting next week. I am really pumped

My production date was the 10th of Jan as well. How the heck did they get here so fast? There’s no way they could already be here from Japan unless our production date was wildly off from what Honda put out. I hope this is the case though! What color is yours?

I would be conservative on the estimates seeing what first waves went through. Expect the worst. Hope for the best.

I think our best bet right now is to see if any new lot of Type Rs are spotted around the dock yards in California, just like last time. Where are all the California folks at? We need your help lol!

Has your dealer told you the same thing? (That it has already landed in California.)
Nope, but a dealer I was negotiating with in North Carolina (Hall Honda) told me the identical thing. They have a 1/10 build date on a CW CTR.

I asked how he knew it was in the states (California) and he said the transport company told them.

I actually was negotiating with this dealer myself but they were stuck on a 10k ADM plus dealer fee. I ended up finding the same car with a 1/10 production for significantly less, but was still talking with this dealer to see if I could work a deal for another member.

I mentioned my 1/10 production date is probably six weeks out and he said it sounds like theirs will be there way before that.

My dealer did say that it’s possible the car could be here in two weeks but didn’t want to get my hopes up. I’m expecting 6-8 weeks so not stressing over it.
