50 times...it's more like just over 2.5 times the size (from a population stand point).
I don't think Honda cares how much demand their is. This is the CTR swan song and after this it will be full EV.

Toyota with the current GR line up is looking this different (and absolutely killing it) trying to get out as many sports cars (variants at least) before the end with the fourth in works...possible MR2 revival, along with Ford doubling down and putting another V8 in the new Mustang.

Honda just wants the last CTTR to be Japan built and cater to their market, we should be lucky were are even getting any all.

I mean its all speculation of course but I am in the camp that thinks at least in the first year or two numbers will be be far less than what we all original thought.
Well, here’s to hoping you’re wrong.

Guys you need to READ between the lines and factor for a RAMPING delivery + production cycle. "200 by END of the year" means many different things and presents MANY different scenarios.

Assumptions:
1) 200 by Dec 31, 2022
2) Delivery starts Nov 2022 - Dec 2022
3) Volume per month while RAMPING production and shipping - 200/2 = 100 a month
4) Assume 3 is = to 40% fully ramped production and shipping schedule. 100 / 0.4 = 250 a month

250 a month at potentially fully ramped production and shipping = 3,000 units annually @ 3 years of the production cycle that ROUGHLY 9,000 units.

Canada is 550 @ 3 years, if you 10x Canada it SHOULD be 5,500.
@ 9,000 its 16x Canada.

Based on what Im seeing my estimate would be between 6,000-9,000 for the USA over 3 years. This falls in line with historical proportion ranges for CAN vs. USA of 10x - 15x.

ROUGH MATH. Assumptions 2 and 3 are the main variables to adjust for.

Math is your friend if you want to test theories and validate data vs. what is available.

P.S. DONT call me out if the numbers arent accurate vs actuals when they BECOME available. This is contingent on the 3 main assumptions. THIS IS ONLY A MATHEMATICAL LOGIC TEST OF ALL INFORMATION AVAILABLE AT THIS POINT AND TIME.

this forum makes me ?

still waiting for all you people who had deposits and confirmed deliveries for september to take pics in your new car
Fall doesn't start until the end of Sept.

Please quote anyone that said, "deliveries will occur & land in September". That or STFU and GTFO.

According to who?
thats how dealer networks and sales hold works. So no one dealer gets to start selling the cars or single region getting the car first. Least thats how it worked for Golf R and Elantra N. Dealers that had them first had a embargo and couldn't sell till every dealer got one.

This isn't incorrect at times... When production levels were at their highest. I'm not sure it'll be this way this time but I think their goal will be to get them to every dealer first the give the fat cats more.

I'm guessing that.

I dont care either way but both those cars sat at port for months, especially the R so it could be delivered at all once.

Just called Coggins Honda in Orlando. They told me that the latest info they have is that there is only 200 CTRs coming to the US before the end of the year and they were only getting 1.

They said that they are the 5th largest CTR dealership for sales in the country and one of the largest Civic sellers.
Take those last 2 statements with a grain of salt. Coggin isn’t even the fifth largest in Florida for civics.

HONDA just letting GRC take all the excitement 1 month from "release"...... Oof we all fucked now with news. No idea when it's coming anymore. I give up lol.
Too much noise during Auto Shows. That’s why Honda hasn’t said anything about the Type R during these autoshows. Look at the amount of social media attention the car got from just a reveal that lacked critical details.
