Agreed. Last black car I had was an ‘05 RSX Type S. Sure looked nice when it was clean though! However, I know I’m not going to have a choice with color with this FL5. I’m going to be thankful no matter what the color is!

You think that's crazy.....just wait and wonder what happens with the FL5.

Let's say it gets great press and people are 2-3 years deep on waiting for their new one. The resale will be insane after a year or two.

What's the point of having and shipping demo units, if ALL units have or can be spoken for (at the customer level, sight and car unseen) and purchased right off the bat? Unless by demo they also mean press car?

Boggles my mind they would produce 400 ish units just to be shown off when they could be sold as part of the inventory. Those 400 are equal to almost all of Canada's (rumored) 3-year distribution of FL5 units, and I'm sure they have more than 400 orders ready to be fulfilled, like Hello!?

What am I missing here?

From a marketing standpoint, youtube reviews and online videos using maybe 50'ish cars globally will be more than enough to get the word out about the vehicle, who the fuck goes into a dealership to make their buying decision when test drives are not allowed anyways?

Also, if there is in fact a production shortage, delay, and "chip shortage" etc, etc, 400 units of the globally rare, limited, in-demand, and valued vehicles... like bruh who within senior leadership OK'd this LOL. I would fire them on the spot for this idea.
