I take it this is a Penske Honda dealer? Since they are the only dealers currently that I know that are not charging over MSRP.... But they will get your ass with add on BS which might come out to more than added market value:hmm: Mind letting us know which dealer "group" this was if you don't mind?
Ah crap, I'm in line on a Penske Honda dealer and was given the same spiel. No ADM.
Here I thought they weren't doing ADMs because of their size. Silly me.

I can't wait to find out what I'll have to pay out the door.

I asked them and they told me a 3 year wait....

I’m 16th in line… LOL.
My expected delivery is December 2024. I’m not in a hurry, I just want one at MSRP.
I don’t mind waiting for the facelift model either as long as no markup or silly dealer mandated “options”

Crazy how different areas are, I’ve called over 20 dealers here over the past few months, and 95% have said they don’t have lists or I’m the first serious inquiry.

Penske is the only one that won’t do ADM is what I found out.
called pretty much every dealer in Indy.
  • Ed Martin Honda - $5k over and $500 refundable deposit. There were 6 people in line as of July 12th
  • Hare Honda - $5k over and $1k non refundable deposit. 1 person on the list as of July 13th
  • Honda of Fishers - no availability info or pricing as of July 13th
  • Indy Honda - no pricing or availability info as of July 13th
Did I miss any dealers?

I’m starting to think that dealers don’t have a standardized system for enthusiast cars that have high demands before they become available or they’re unveiled fully. Some have lists, others don’t keep one as they don’t even have pricing info. It’s pretty much a Wild West situation from what I’ve gathered.

I’ll gladly fly to Texas to pick up an FL5 at MSRP and drive that bad boy back.

Many dealers have a system at this point.

A system for Accords and CRVs and Odysseys...

Everything is hard to get.

From previous experience with Penske Auto Group and seeing what they added on to the 2021 CTR it was about 5-8K and that was mostly BS Window Tint, Granny's Special paint coating :rolleyes1: , VIN Etching and Wheel locks.

I can't wait to find out what I'll have to pay out the door.
If I were to take a good guess.. . .right around 50K before taxes and fee's ( That's if the 2023 CTR is 40-42K MSRP ) :hmm:

F me for thinking I actually could get one FL5 at MSRP without ADM or BS options if I was willing to wait.
I guess I’m stopping by Penske sometime this week to get some clarification on that.
hopefully I’ll be able to get something in writing

Good Luck .. . Hope you get more clarification, but I think they are going to be tight lipped about it for the most part ( at least they are this way at most of the SoCal dealers )

Post up here once you find out something either positive or negative, at least this way we can at least try to be a little smarter at getting this car this time around:hmm:

Talked to 6 dealers today local to me (NJ) and everyone said they don't expect to get any till January at the earliest. One women mentioned honda originally planned for the end of July, but that its been pushed back till Jan.

Hard to believe when 99% of dealers say they know nothing then one random says July was pushed to January. But who knows man. Someone has to be right eventually ?

My local dealers are asking for $5K ADMs on regular civic hatchbacks…so I’m sure the CTR is going to be close to $10K ??. And none of them are taking deposits or have much info. But most of them have told me I’m one of the first to contact them about it and I’ll be the first one they contact once they know more. I’m not holding my breath…

I wish they’d just spill the beans on an Integra Type S/R so I can go to my Acura dealer who doesn’t charge ADMs. That would make this much easier for me! Although…that could all change I’m sure ??‍♂
