very nice…10 people on a list for a car that doesn’t existIt's already a thing. I just talked to a friend at Acura, and their waiting list for the Integra Type-S is 10 people

Thanks for the reply. And this is why, every time someone posts a comment on here, suggesting their dealer has the inside track, I don’t believe it. As you said, when real concrete info drops, we will more than likely know it here first.Hi. Dealer here.
I have learned more about this car from this forum than I have from Honda. Don't get me wrong. If Honda told me something and said, don't tell. I wouldn't share it with anyone. However it isn't quite like that.
Each one or us know more than the dealers do.
Employees of dealers have access to an employee network. As soon as anything is on there it is leaked and you guys have the info. It's how everyone knew about the colors offered from a screenshot. It's how everyone knows what dealer invoice is. The information leaks as soon as it exists to dealers.
I don't know if I'll be able to order a Honda Odyssey next order let alone when the Type R will touch down on US soil for sale.
There are things I do know that the general public doesn't know and for whatever doesn't get leaked. So for example I know the next order on Civics will be for the '23 model year. Honda told us the last order would be the last allocation for '22.
If you tie that into production dates for '22 Honda Civic hatch backs going as far as mid September as far as US built/USDM. Then you get a idea that the earliest production in the US for '23 Civics are likely late September.
Now I don't know about vehicles made in Japan. (Which everyone seems to swear the Type R will be built exclusively in Japan... Supposedly a Honda guy in CA said that x plant is high volume and thus it doesn't make sense. That and the vehicles shown the other day in what seems to be US spec were built Japan) I think in this generation I've seen one Japanese made Honda Civic and I can't recall but I think it was a sedan and even that... I would t want you to hold me to.
We as dealers get dates. We know the car is built when the order has a VIN attached to it. Thr VIN is everything. No VIN.. the car doesn't exist.
Cars built in the US versus Mexico (HRV) or Japan take longer to arrive to their dealer.
Even a CRV is subject to delay.
The point is.. Dealers don't know about the Type R. You all know more than they do. I assure you.
Only people know more are dealer reps and even they can't tell me if my Pilot or whatever vehicle you choose will for sure be built on a certain day.
I'm honestly speculating there. It's reasonable to do so since...Thanks for the reply. I do like that the next shipment of Civics, look to be coming in September, as a 2023 model, because that seems to align with some rumors.
Yeah, I mean everything at this point, is pretty much all speculation, but it is nice when different sources have information that seems to align, even if only a little.I'm honestly speculating there. It's reasonable to do so since...
-I can't see production of any Civics (5 door) after that time.
-I haven't been able to order a hatch the last two orders.
They are called stealerships for a reason ?very nice…10 people on a list for a car that doesn’t exist
Nice. And yeah I went
buying a supra selling cars... i guess that markups is making the field lucrative.I'm Honda sales, Honda doesn't share anything with us, we were taking orders on the 23 HRV with no info pertaining to which features each trim level would come with, so trust me it'll be a long time before we know anything on the CTR, we're up to 3 orders and counting where I'm at. I wrote one up yesterday, it was sticker plus 3K. I paid 2.5K over for my 20 Supra back in 19, my thinking back than was gotta pay to play. LOL
LOL, actually I bought it before I ever got in the business.buying a supra selling cars... i guess that markups is making the field lucrative.
I don't know what happened to em, but boostlag hates dealers. LolLOL, actually I bought it before I ever got in the business.
I don’t think he’s the only one. ?I don't know what happened to em, but boostlag hates dealers. Lol
How the fk do they know how many they are getting when other dealers have no idea?Well guys, I can finally say after countless calls to a bunch of dealerships and being number 4 or lower, I finally found one to where I’m #1 on the list. It’s not a big inventory dealership but, I’ll take it. If what I’m hearing is true, most dealerships are getting 3, at least what I’m hearing. I talked to anothet dealership that said the big inventory dealers will be the one to get them first and they’re projecting to get 1 for the year. I’m sure the dealership I was able to secure the #1 spot, probably BSing me that spot, will rape me with ADM fees.
Good question. LolHow the fk do they know how many they are getting when other dealers have no idea?
The whole lack of clarity thing is starting to piss me off. Someone is lying or Honda doesn’t know how to coordinate and communicate effectively.Good question. Lol
I’m with you brother. In time, we will all know. The whole lack of clarity thing is starting to piss me off. Someone is lying or Honda doesn’t know how to coordinate and communicate effectively.
