I’ve been told about 6-8 weeks from VIN. When did you get your VIN out of curiosity?

Also did they give you your MSRP? I’m really curious if we will have the increase or not since I don’t know any second wave CTRs that have been delivered yet.
I got VIN when I bought the car on 1/8/23. I was given MSRP of 44845$

My build date is 1/10 has VIN already. When is the realistic time I can expect the car ?
Look just be patient I left my deposit on November 5th and got mine December 14th..the guy that's you are talking to about the vins and stuff has a good grasp on when u will get your car I was talking with him before when I was waiting for mine he was pretty much on point..when I gave him my vin...and I called Honda America and bitched up a storm complaining about the lack of transparency when it comes to you arrival date.

The dealer will know the cost of your car once they receive an invoice for it when a car is built in NA. This is typically 48 hours or so once it leaves the plant.

My apologies but I couldn't tell you the typical timeframe for when they leave the plant in Japan. It very well may be different.

Hi Trilly - Thanks for commenting. Are any of the dealers reasonably with the markups?

Here’s what I found on the East Coast in Champ White - Anything on the lot has been 15k plus, but for allocations I’ve found a few 10k, one 8k, and then one for even less that I reserved.

If you find a 10k, you will need to negotiate it down. My dealer initially threw me 12k, but were actually very nice to work with and we negotiated down to a fair number IMO. The 8k over, I had to negotiate down as well from 10k, but couldn’t get them low enough to make a deal.

I didn’t want a car off the showroom floor with how long they sit and all the action/attention they get.

I took delivery of my car today!

I checked the build date in the door sticker and it is 10/22. I believe the "first wave" was August 2022 so this should put me in the second wave.

The shipping slip said 10/31 for the ship date from Japan so if it took 2.5 months I would imagine the people who have 1/10 build dates will get their cars in late March or April on the west coast.

I think the cars should arrive earlier this time around. The first lot was late because of logistics issues and railway strikes, and the inclement weather in the North East, else the cars were sitting in the port way before the official launch. My guess would be mid to late March for deliveries to start in the US for the 1/10 build dates, assuming that a leading automaker like Honda fixes its logistics issues, there are no more strikes, and the weather doesn't drastically change from its usual patterns.

More like: last time I didn't study, the teachers didn't teach us well because they were on strike for being underpaid, and I got sick due to bad weather so I got bad grades. If I study this time, the teachers teach us everything on time before the exam, and I don't fall sick I'll get better grades.

That's the best analogy I could come up with ?.
