Interested in knowing what in transit means: Is it Japan to Hawaii? Hawaii to Richmond? or Richmond to dealer? Or all of the above?

FYI - I'd recommend calling dealerships even if Aspect didn't post your dealer receiving an allocation. I just called a dealer in state because I saw it pop up on their website and they were allocated one (pre-sold) that was not on his list.

Would you know how things work for US territories? I'm in PR. As far as I would think it probably goes from Japan to Richmond, CA to Jacksonville, FL at the port to San Juan , PR. A better way to ask I guess: Do you see anything U.S. territory wise? If you get the chance. Thanks for posting all this.

Never actually checked for US territories. Some might actually travel with the allocations going to the Caribbean Islands.

In transit meaning the Honda website when you build the car and put in your zip it will show dealers in your area. It is color specific I have noticed so keep that in mind you have to go back and forth between the colors to see if anything pops. Dealer called me last Thursday to let me know he sees car in his system with vin (thinking this is system that AspecR screen shots for us?). Yesterday my car was not showing on the Honda builder as in transit but today it is. Pure speculation on my part but I would guess in transit in Honda terms means car has left port of entry and is actually en route to dealer.

I didn't want to assume before asking you. Maybe some of these are popping up in FL but are headed to PR. Last I spoke to the manager at the San Juan Honda dealership, he claims they distribute to the entire Caribbean from the San Juan port. He says they have 20 en-route with no specific ETA other than the east-coast mainland will get it first.

Thanks! I was thinking (hoping) the same thing.

The Honda builder website listed mine as in transit but my salesman said it's still pending. Possibly, the builder website uses "in-transit" as a blanket statement for it not being at a dealership vs. "in-stock" for when it's physically there? Then again, it's possible my salesman didn't have the most up-to-date information at that time.

Interesting. I hadn't checked that before. I am in talks with the dealerships who have the allocations, but they aren't even sure yet when they will be getting them.

Correct, "In Transit" is a blank statement for the status of car that has a VIN and has been assigned to a dealership. It will get there eventually. It could be in transit and still collecting dust in richmond.

Like all the east coast cars
