My dealership told me that Honda gave them a price today. They said MSRP as of right now is $45,950 USD. They also said it could change, which doesn’t make sense to me.

Yeah - sounds sketchy. Thats maybe w ADM which is why it would change. Price has not been released.

This dealer doesn’t do ADMs. I’m wondering if it is subject to change based on delivery fees or something.

Talking to a bunch of dealers in the Southeast this morning. Most everyone has told me they are getting one and are usually providing a color. No date, no MSRP. One dealer told me they believe the market adjustment on it is high 40s but I really don't believe that. I just can't imagine Honda is trying to price the Type R as much or more than an Audi S3.

Wait, the markup or MSRP would be high 40s ?

45,xxx would be high to me and out of line of the about 2100 dollars I've seen in increases. Still it doesn't sound impossible either.

Either way it would be nice if another dealer could verify it.

Yeah, he was super vague about the language, which was confusing. I said:

"Oh high 40s after your markup?"
"No, after the market adjustment."
"... okaaaaay thanks for the info bye."
Yeah thats ADM talk. They all are waiting for pricing to see what ADM they will charge based on the market.

An MSRP in the mid 40s would likely put a lot of folks on the sidelines.

Im not saying dealer is wrong but this car is essentially fk8. I dont see it being more expensive than the golf r. Talking over 5k from last gen doesnt make sense.

Japanese FL5 is just under 5 million yen converted to dollars is 34k
