Here is a fun one - what do you all think the max out the door sticker well see will be? I‘ll take the over on 70k and go with $74k with tax and fees. Only because the increasing financial stress on dealers will bring out the worst in the worst dealers.

The Honda Dealer closest to my location in NC marked up their FK8’s to 84K. I talked to this dealer first when the FL5 was announced and they said they were planning on marking up the FL5 to 89k.

someone came in and bought an FK8 for 84K and flipped it in New York for over 100k and then came back to the same dealer in NC and bought another one for 84K.

people like that are the reason why dealers in the US still keep their obscene markups.

I don't think these people are normal consumers. Must be some at 84k you have LOTS of options.

I just dont get how you flip it for 100k, especially the fk8 unless it was the LE edition. Even then it's still way over asking.

I wanna say with the current market, maybe worth waiting for prices to drop. Worse case you get one next year? I would email every dealer in your state to find an honest one to sell you at MSRP for next year?

Def sucks, I feel bad for USA car buyers.

After searching, I found one that will be selling at MSRP. That’s where my deposit is at. I’ve called other dealers since then, and they all tell me that they can’t compete with it. They won’t even compete with an MSRP for the SI

Right. That price is listed for Honda in Jamaica??‍♂ I sure hope that’s not the ridiculous markup everyone’s expecting. Smh
I'm from Jamaica that is not markup. That is literally the cost to bring cars to the Caribbean.
The taxation structure on bringing cars into the Caribbean effectively makes every car cost 1.8 to 3.5 times what it would cost in the US based on engine size.

For some reason I don't believe this story. Even if it was an LE. I highly doubt they got 2 of them.
