What are your thoughts on the FK8 LE? Do you think it will appreciate similar to the s2000 CRs? I'm wondering if Honda will make a limited model for the FL5.
S2K CR are going to be like the next NSX-R.
There will very likely be a FL5 LE. I’m assuming in PY

People were saying my limited was overpriced. At lease I got some nice wheels at this price point. Corolla GR is the way to go with reasonable pricing.

Jesus I never thought about it that way! The type r is now 11k more expensive than the Elantra N!

In the past you could argue that the “specialness” of being a Type R and the resale value could make it worth the 4.5k higher MSRP. But now it’s a case of where exactly is this extra 11k going? The new type r as far as I can tell doesn’t have any drastic updates or changes from the last Gen. Yeah new chassis but same powertrain and just updated electronics.
I'm telling you guys, this is factory ADM. They know the car will have an ADM so they're taking advantage.

Or it's the yen, which is down 50% in value in one year.

I am not going to doubt that people will pay upwards of 60k out the door for this vehicle, but those are few and far between. With the cost to actually own this car rising with interest rates, ADMs, MSRP...I don't think dealers will be getting 10k+ ADMs for very long.

Edit: I just checked my bank for an auto loan for 50k with an 820 credit score and the lowest for a 72 month lease is 5.05%
Let's think about what wealth people will use to pay $60k for this:

bitcoin is down 65%
tech stocks are down 50-60%
tech stock options = worthless
home equity is crashing
stimmy checks = gone

Everything has changed in just one year - dealers just haven't gotten the memo.

Fine. I'll play...

Improved the Turbo
aerodynamics a focus
Every panel is different from base car other than front doors
Revised exhaust
Brand new seats
New dash screen/infotainment
Introduced individual settings
Michelin Pilot 4S 265s all around
Rear seat side airbags
Honda's latest version of Sensing
Wireless charger
Wireless Apple caraway
Wireless android auto
More passeger space
Bose amplification for audio

I'm not here to take away from the R. Which... I could. It's nice for what it is. Let's not act like Honda is giving you nothing.
Imo my biggest issue is just these ADMs. I can see maybe 2-5k it was like that on the GT350R and Hertiage Edition GT350Rs which is a STEAL. But its pretty much guaranteed you are going to pay +$5,000 for it unless you know people or are in the know with Honda dealerships.

I dont mind the MSRP but it just higher MSRP plus these ADMs feels like an extra slap in the face. $46k OTD price is like a pipe dream for most future owners sadly

Wait how is the price $67,000 but he does a trade in valued at $20,000 but the total balance is $74,000?
Lol. His trade-in payoff was 33k

I always thought collects(or perhaps investors) of cars like these were nuts. If they’ve got 50k to invest it’d be much safer in a high interest savings account than placed into a car that needs to be sheltered, insured and maintained. The S2000 is about 20 years old and even now only the very best examples (CR’s excluded) are selling for their original sticker. After you factor in maybe 750$ a year for 20 years in insurance and maintenance on a car you don’t drive you’ve spent 15k which completely wipes out any appreciation.

These cars are still mass produced
What savings account would you recommend? Most have been paying fraction of a %

61K, most expensive sold yet. I think they will be topped in a week as I've already seen dealers with 25K mark ups.
