OT: what kind of laptimes you guys running there? and what mods?
Mine is still bone stock and I want to benchmark a stock car with pads/fluids before trying to beat my E90M3 1:40laptime.
I'm considering the WOT trifecta of parts: Dual oil cooler, PWR Radiator with Trans cooler, and cooling undertray. Seems like the undertray is no brainer!
Absolutely! At the moment, the E90M3 is already prepped for track days with MCS 2WNR, and AP racing brakes so for the time being..it's this one. :)
I do think long run the FL5 might be cheaper just due to maintenance on a 15yr old. But the upfront costs to make a reliable FL5 for track seems...
They definitely planning far too safe with their products. Toyota push with GR stuff lately seems good out of the states but they too seem cautious with certain items being released in North America.
HRC auto motorsports didn't really start till 2022 so this seems in line with them trying to focus on F1 return in 2026. Using already well known brands and doing "collabs" is somewhat feels like a cheap move but a lot of brands have been doing this nowadays.
I am curious about the KW coilovers...
That will be fun! I have a white slicktop 6MT double hump, it actually allows for a CarPlay module to "modernize" it up. Right now both cars are competing for which will be the primary track car and the backup track car. haha.
I own an E90M3 and followed a similar ethos to build a car following BMW M CS. The words "Racetrack optimized + everyday suitability" spoke to me :D
I'm hoping to do something similar with my FL5 as well. Can't wait to see what your vision of that is vs mine! :)
Last week at the track I saw someone using a pole with a goPro mount. I believe this is it. Interesting idea!

I was just talking to a friend who had a set of these for his wife's Lexus CT and stumbled that they offer a FL5 variant with defrosters, BSI and come in blue/yellow without logos!
I'm going to order a set. I like the SUMA ones but don't like their logo on it.
Only other offerings I've seen so far is SakeBomb (made for ohlins) and Balladesports one. Are there any other ones?
Has anyone tried these before? They look new from hardrace. I'm not sure what the consensus with Hard race is, but their engine mounts sure look they make them for Spoon, and...
Perhaps my tint is too dark, but I noticed it doesn't autodim on my limited night driving. I put a flashlight to the mirror while covering the rear photo sensor and I see it activates so I know the mirror is working.
I thought that was interesting to note.
