I think they'd probably void your warranty as soon as they saw the over-rev / max rpm anyway ?♂️, so as far as the mods are concerned... likely no harm / no foul here.
Gotcha. From the wording in your first paragraph, I thought you intended to have it PPF'd first.
If you're going to pay for PPF after... definitely cover the front end for that 400 miles. Maybe a front-end cover off Amazon or Ebay for ~100 or so. Painter's tape won't prevent damage from rock chips.
Meh, yes, but...
Front end PPF is probably worth it. If I did it again, I'd get front end PPF on my DE5... that said, the first serious scratch I got was on the rear quarter panel, so it wouldn't have been protected anyway (and to me, personally, paying more than 10% of the value of the car for...
There's definitely enough complaints out there that we know it's happening. The question is why... is it a model to model thing (and un-luck of the draw), is it technique, is it fluid, does it need a CMC adjustment?
I've personally never had issues with mine, nor with any Honda transmission...
Another vote for Tuxmats... fit / quality and coverage is fantastic. And, at least in the ITS, they match the interior quite nicely (I believe the soft touch material in the Fl5 is a different shade than the DE5).
Aren't DI likely to misfire if pushed too hard? Check w. another tuner, maybe IMW, Jester, Phearable -- someone who has a lot of experience with this platform, and share logs w. them.
I could be wrong, but I swear I read some feedback somewhere from someone who said the boost threshold required to activate the valve was higher than OEM and running it on an OEM setup would cause problems.
...I could have misremembered or misunderstood, and / or they could be wrong, lol.

Filing those lawsuits may have been effective:

Some of these make sense (regulation driven, etc.), but others...
The cloth back seat for NA is such a garbage choice. My 07 Si, w. 200k miles and 17 years of wear, has a nicer back seat than the FL5 (and it's black suede w. red stitching... like EU/JDM FL5s, lol). ??
