  1. FK8 vs FL5 interchangeable brake pads?

The FK8 pads are identical sizes to the FL5. The thread below shows the 3 OEM Brembo model #'s over the last 8 years. https://www.civicxi.com/forum/threads/brake-pad-manufacturer-model-compilation-thread.54351/
  2. Windshield Replacement Problem - Loud Rattle

Had a recent track incident where my windshield was shattered from a flying piece of debris: Due to the urgency of the repair, I went to a local windshield shop where they expedited delivery and installed an aftermarket replacement windshield. At the tail end of my drive back home (3 hours...
  3. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

(I follow you on IG btw) Just shy of 1,000 track miles on the car. Looking for consistent laps. As I've improved on track, I have incrementally modified the car - Stock pads -> MX72P -> ME20 or Michelin PS4S -> 615K. Looking to move to coilovers next year. For brake pads: I'm looking for a...
  4. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

What is everybody using for tires and pads on oem suspension? I finally blew through my first set of consumables - Falken 615's and Endless ME20's.
  5. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

I strongly prefer the ITS suspension module over the FL5 in a track setting. It feels more planted and predictable on rough track surfaces.
  6. Brake Pad Manufacturer/Model Compilation Thread

Bumping this thread to see if there any new options in the market.
  7. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

I had a call with the organizer. They're adding this detail in the classroom curriculum and an email was sent to the run group where we think the negligence occurred.

The track debris appears to be a Corvette jack puck like this one. Somebody must have left it on their car. The freeze frame below of the debris looks exactly like it.

Wild weekend at MSR Houston last week. I managed to capture some gnarly footage of track debris ending my weekend early at MSRH. Right after the outlap of a session, my windshield shattered from debris kicked up on the track. I consider myself lucky it didn't pierce the windshield or slam into...
  10. Replaced Windshield

Do you remember what the model number was for the foam piece? Edit: Wait nvm found it - 77466-TL0-G01

For those running a Garmin Catalyst, where are you mounting it? I had mine on the windshield, but hated the loss of visibility. Since then, I used 3M VHB tape to mount it. So far it has stayed on for a couple track days.
  12. [COTA] Chin Track Day impressions

Some cool action shots from the event:
  13. [COTA] Chin Track Day impressions

Oil temps were nothing crazy. Didn't see anything higher than 255 due to the low ambient temp. I ran all 4 sessions with the long press traction control off. Bingo! It only happened in my longest session. Came back to pit with less than a quarter. I refill before every session, but the tank is...

"iSYFIX White Vinyl Numbers" from Amazon. I don't recommend them because the leftover adhesive is difficult to remove.
  15. [COTA] Chin Track Day impressions

  16. California FS: Girodisc front/rear rotors

How many track days on these rotors?
  17. 27WON FL5 Exhaust System

Watching this thread. This is the best sounding exhaust I've heard for the FL5. Never had intentions on parting from the OEM exhaust until now.
  18. Track Alignment Settings?

Yup. I was aiming for -2.5 (middle adjustment). I think max settings would place it around -3.8 with pulled pins
  19. *The FL5 Track Junkie Thread*

Recently installed whiteline adjustable ball joints (-2.6 front camber) and had some fun at MSR Houston & Harris Hill. Also just realized you can fit a FULL set of wheels and a car seat in this car. Incredible.
