If it's anything like the FK8, then that blank won't actually be an empty button but an empty space with a carved outline. I found that out when I lifted the shifter panel and tried to "remove" that blank lol.
Lol, he's on the s2ki.com forums (handle name "Billman250") and he's probably the most knowledgeable and experienced S2000 mechanic in the US, maybe on the planet. He has only worked on S2000s ever since they came out. People drive across the country to have their S2000s serviced by him, and...
Nice! I've only seen 2 S2000s ever during my Europe travels - in Paris and Bucharest. If you squint hard enough in the first pic, you can see the EDM "HONDA" badge as well next to the sidemarker, which I transferred to my FK8. Yep, although the F22C was more usable, I still preferred the F20C...
Yep the rising rake gives it a nice mean stance IMO, especially from the three-quarter viewing angle. Other than the CR suspension and the EDM rear fog light, my S2000 was stock. This toned down car looks way better than the FK8. I think the Z4 at the time was the over-styled mess. ;)
I'm probably in the minority, but to me, it's not so much the "toned down" look of the new car, as it is the general shape and design. Just not a fan of the bulky front end, and the lack of front to rear rake angle to the belt line. Some people like this look and its fine. Not saying the 10th...
Back in 1998 or thereabouts, someone I know bought an Accord LX with 150 hp here in NY. If I remember the contents of the brochure correctly, I believe they were selling a 148 hp version in CA at the time to meet emissions targets there. I guess everything's standardized now.
Correct. As shitty as it sounds, this is the reason that price "gouging" at the pump is a good thing during local disasters. I don't understand how it is "gouging" if the gas station is not going to be getting much more gas, more likely they will lose revenue even with the higher prices. The...
I wouldn't feel good about putting all of the eggs in one basket. Didn't a boat full of Porsches and Lamborghinis sink in the Atlantic earlier this year, and the anxious owners had to wait months for their orders to be redone?
Driver, road conditions, weather and temps play big roles. They also may not want to make a big deal out of it if they somehow couldn't beat the Megane. We should know in a month or two.
Probably the same idea with the clear/amber sidemarkers for the FK8. I ordered the clear ones from the UK, perhaps it will be possible to do the same for the entire headlight assembly as well. I had good experiences with these 2 sites in the past.
https://www.coxmotorparts.co.uk - they helped...
In 2017, they revealed the time about a month after the debut, so who knows?
Or, they could have beat the FK8 but not the Megane.
We're also in the dead of summer, so the ambient heat is probably not helping either.
If the toning down of the exterior is any indication, the car still needs to ride as comfortably as the outgoing model, and comfort mode is too loose for tracking. So I'm assuming it would have adaptive dampers to firm up the suspension when you're in the mood for some spirited driving. I doubt...
I don't know, I might change my mind by the time 2026-2027 comes around. I wasn't keen on giving up my AP1 for the FK8 at first, either. The increased performance of the FL5 is always a plus I don't think anyone is arguing against that, not a fan of the exterior, lukewarm on the interior, but...
