No pics up yet, must be pre-release or something like that. Never heard of them personally but interested to hear what you find out, price isn’t terrible either.
I’ll check out dream, haven’t been on there for a while, really want a high efficiency tube/fin style rad/IC, I do a lot of mountain road carving and want to add a little more capacity but don’t need to go overboard.
Appreciate the offer, if some additional aftermarket options don’t come along in the next few months, I’ll reach out for sure again. Figure if I’m going through the hassle to rip the front end apart to replace it, may as well improve on what’s there, which also means an intercooler. Not real...
Reached out to Koyo and they are working on a FL5 radiator now. No ETA provided but they did say soon. Crossing my fingers that means the next few months…
Unfortunately the radiator is different between the Si and Type R, just confirmed via some pics I had from my 2023 Si that was traded in for my Type R. I’ll definitely keep you in mind if I end up just going the OE replacement route, waiting a bit to see if some other options come to market that...
That sounds like a good option, wonder if any of these folks are looking for testers for their products prior to release. I’d be happy to swap one and document the process along with provid feedback for use.
Sure hope so, my car is semi hibernating right now but I worry about driving it with a repaired radiator, sucks since I just did the Phearable tune and downpipe and I really want to get some seat time…
Anyone got leads on if other folks besides PWR are developing an aftermarket radiator option? Busted the small nipple off the top of my radiator and will be looking to replace it soon. I’ve got it fixed for now with some plastic welding and high heat epoxy but I’d like to replace it for the long...
Best of luck sir, interested to see what you went with. My goals at this point are OE+ so most likely will be done after exhaust. Might do some cosmetics but I’m still undecided about that. Owned a lot of cars and driven a lot I didn’t own, by far this is my favorite so don’t want to change that...
Dang man, who’d you order it from? I ended up finding a great deal on a lightly used local 27Won from a prior FK8 owner otherwise I would have either gotten a new one from them eventually.
Got my downpipe on this past weekend plus did the valve bypass and I think it sounds good now. Still want it louder but I’ll drive it a while and see. Downpipe definitely bumped the sound up a bit, not a ton but noticeable. After looking at the stock front pipe, that’ll likely be the next step...
Piping diameter is 70mm (2.75”) and weight shows as 19.7 on blackhawkjapan.com info, no units on the weight but assuming thats Kg since all the other info provided is metric. That would mean it’s heavier than the stock exhaust by 4 lbs. Remark lists the stock exhaust at 39.2 lbs versus 43.4 lbs...
Fair enough, I’m trying to find that balance with my FL5 as well. I daily it so drone is a no go period. Remark has been the only outfit in the game so far that’s offering a flanged exhaust but I’m not a fan of the twin tip versus triple. Filling out the rear diffuser is a must, not particularly...
Looks great, quality looks top notch like you said, love the bolted flanges and the completeness of the kit right down to the plug and zip tie for the OE valve harness. Do wish it was a bit louder tho, do they offer it with one silencer versus the two you got?
Ya me too, especially after 4hrs drilling out and retapping busted stud from the turbo and then I did this… there I was excited I got the stud fixed and then snap, coolant all over and man there were some expletives spewed…
As the title states, hoping one of you guys that upgraded your radiator would be willing to sell the OE one. Busted the plastic nipple for the coolant tank line off mine while putting in a downpipe. Going to attempt plastic welding it back on but not hopeful it will work. My dumb ass could be...
Thanks for the review, love all of it and come bonus season next year I think this is where I’ll end up. Downpipe and Phearable tune going on here shortly, but that sounds soooo good I think you made up my mind! Hopefully I can get the raw tips version when I’m ready, not a fan of the burnt Ti look.
