I don’t know about the US but here in Canada the announced pricing is higher than I expected for the Hatch. The LX Hatch is $3.5k more than the LX sedan in Canada.
Honda US uploaded new Hatchback Youtube videos this morning so we may see more details with the official production launch announcement that is coming today.
We can now see what the US manual looks like in the Hatchback.
The Japan car manufacturers announced on Friday that production would be lower in October as well, similar to what was predicted for September. This combined with the lack of Hatchback details might suggest that the Hatchback introduction will be delayed further...
That is old news. Honda sent a letter to dealers in August which mentioned that September production orders would drop by 40%. And the Japan car manufacturers on Friday announced that similar production reductions would occur in October as well and they don’t know when it will improve...
A 25% bump from the existing 306hp? That suggests 375hp and wouldn’t seem realistic. The 325-350hp range you suggested would represent a 10-15% increase. And while more realistic are not close to a 25% increase.
In an interview with Acura today it was confirmed that the ILX will be dropped and they expect the Integra to be a volume car helping Acura to increase overall sales. It was mentioned that the Integra will be built on the new Civic platform and would not be electrified in order to keep the...
Motortrend updated their article with further clarification of the comments from Acura.
“The new Integra is not a replacement for the Acura ILX compact sedan—which departs after the '22 model year—the brand chief says.”
I was at a Canada dealer this morning and happened to mention that I was waiting for the hatchbacks to arrive. Another person at a desk spoke up and mentioned that he was literally just placing the orders now for the dealership.
So it looks like Honda has opened up the ordering now. I should...
The comment regarding electrification did not come from Acura but was speculation from the writer. That is interesting regarding the Integra not being a replacement for the ILX, although I would wait to see if this is accurate as Motortrend also mentioned that the ILX was discontinued. LOL
"...
I will be interested in seeing the details on the new Integra. Acura won't drop the 4-door as this will also replace the ILX. I would be pleasantly surprised if they offered a Coupe as well. Or maybe they go with a 4-door hatchback and try to satisfy both crowds
Could you check to see if the below screen is available in your Sport. This comes from the Touring Bose Audio setup but I know that Mazda has a similar setting like this and they are available across all trim, not just the top Bose Audio trim.
The Hatchback engine specs are the same as the sedan so we won’t see anything different. The Hatchback could even perform slightly worse as it will be heavier than the sedan.
It looks like Honda tuned the 11th gen for better gas mileage to help compensate for the extra weight. Unfortunately...
Fortunately, that doesn’t apply to the US and Canada.
“Fuel efficiency and emissions are notably improved due in part to a new standard idle-stop system (CVT only)”
