Yep, and how about this, then? You know that blank space in the center console's row of buttons, just below the drive modes switch? How about Honda fills that in with an 'ITS' button? We already have a dedicated +R button, so why not also give us ITS mode with the press of a button? Too...

After two days of ripping around in the mountains with my new ITS module for my FL5, here are my impressions... First off, it's clearly smoother. Within moments of being on the freeway, I noticed that all the small buzzes and rattles I normally hear on the freeway from the seats and seatbelt...

Add me to the list of the lucky. I put in my new order with AllDiscountParts.com a couple of days ago, and received a FedEx shipping notice today. It's on its way. Now I gotta figure out how to remove that back seat without needing to turn my head or bend too far sideways. I'm not going to...
  4. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

I know it’s easy, provided you can turn your head and bend enough to remove the rear seat. I’ve had so many spinal reconstructions that those simple movements are somewhat out of the question now for me.

Wish I were, but I'm in NoCal. Seriously, so many people I know here have recently moved to Tennessee. They make it sound like heaven, compared to the lunacy we're constantly experiencing here now.
  6. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

My local dealer says they're still showing the ITS module being a few weeks out, even though a number of online vendors have received theirs and shipped them to customers already. So, as a result, I ordered one yesterday from AllDiscountsParts.com, which is again proving to be fairly...

Wrong, Dream3r. Scroll up. Read it in context. I was responding to Noize, who posted a decidedly different take on his experience with the CTR vs ITS modules. Whereas most people have preferred the ITS, which is why I have an order in for one, Noize seems to be firmly in the opposite camp...

You should read the thread yourself and note that I've posted in it quite a bit already, so you should realize that I am well aware of what has already been written. Therefore, you should next make the logical leap that I was asking this specific person for his specific impressions, since he is...
  9. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Compared to stock, how were Sport and +R with the ITS?
  10. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

I have the ITS module on order, but I’m beginning to question whether I really want it, much less whether I really need it. Well, okay, obviously no one “needs” it. This is 100% a first world problems “want“ situation. There is no “need” involved. Anyway, my dilemma is simple. I don’t want...

Swapping the module changed the sound modes? It's not supposed to do that. It's only supposed to affect the suspension, not the steering, throttle response, gauge display, or sound, i.e., the other things that are mode-related.

Hmmm. Surprised my local Acura dealer hasn't received my order yet. I would have expected that the dealers would receive them either concurrently or ahead of the online vendors.
  13. FL5 owner's poll

I was thinking the omission of the sunglasses holder up there was the issue. I miss having that thing. For all the talk the past couple years of what a great, usable interior the Civic offers, to me it seems fairly lacking in interior storage space. Not a lot of cubbies.

    The rear view mirror?
  15. FL5 owner's poll

I presented a number of valid arguments. I didn't only speak to your "pain" hyperbole. Like I said, on rough roads, yes, Sport and +R are overly bouncy. On normal-ish roads, Comfort mode is perfectly fine. On smooth roads, all three modes are fine. It takes an extremely bumpy road before Comfort...
  16. FL5 owner's poll

A "vortex of pain"? Ummm...no. Let's not go overboard here. An overabundance of vertical oscillations? Yes. Pain? No. It's also not true that "any canyon road" triggers the bounciness in any mode. It needs to be a bumpy road, and you need to be in Sport or +R. The road has to be extremely rough...

That's better than my online vendor gave me. When I called and asked for any sort of an ETA after receiving my backorder notice, the guy answered, "Could be a week, could be a month, could be a year or more. We have no idea."
  18. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

Now you really have me curious. There are upwards of 10,000 2024 FL5s allocated to North America? I thought our FL5s were much more limited in numbers than that. Perhaps I was wrong. A quick Google search tells me there are currently 1,073 Honda dealers in the United States, 131 of which are...
  19. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

I wonder what the total number of ITS module-seeking FL5 owners actually is. A few hundred, maybe? A thousand or so, tops? Whatever it is, including ITS owners who might require one for their crashed cars/failed modules, Acura should be able to keep up with such a small number. How many FL5...
  20. Active Dampers too stiff on FL5. Disabled with Damping Cancellation Kit

On a different note, does anyone here know why there is such a lengthy backorder on parts for a 2024 Acura model? We're well past the Covid issue, so what's the holdup? If I had a crashed ITS or a malfunctioning ITS module and I needed this part to get my car back on the road, what would be...
