I went at it last night with 3 passes of the alcantara cleaner and then a pass of the leather cleaner after waiting a few hours. The alcantara cleaner leaves it feeling matte and the leather cleaner from chemical guys makes it shiny again. In either case I might try the steamer route...

Ive used both, initially I was just using the microfiber, and then I switched to scrubbing with the brush and wiping away with the microfiber. Its been pretty cold where I am for a while now, so maybe I just need to heat up the steering wheel enough as well.

Just the questions and answers I got from my question in that linked post, that's why I asked to see if prl could chime in. I'm definitely not the authority on this, but ive yet to see the most prominent intake airbox maker for this platform make a race maf, so it raises my suspicions as to why.

Great post as usual! I was curious about the mhi stage 2 turbskie since it's basically an OEM turbo. The fk8 guys are all over the place on how they feel about it, some said it'll add a few rpm of turbo lag because of the increase in size and others say it's basically identical to stock.

I think that first assertion is right, so having a bigger inlet would make sense. But based off my question in that linked post, looks like changing the maf housing size wouldn't make a difference.

I haven't tried it on the type r yet, but I had every bit of chassis bracing on my FL2 (minus the spoon stiff plate). I felt the biggest difference removing the power brace under the strut towers, and the second biggest removing the rear strut bar. The front strut bar did the least imo.

I remember reading a response from prl saying there was no need to make a larger maf housing on the FL5 since the maf sensor was different (the fk8 already had the race maf because of this). Perhaps someone from @PRL Motorsports could chime in?

@02SilverSiHB could you shed some light on the idle issues, since I believe you posted the video. Curious how bad it was on those intakes.

What do you think of gruppem? I've been stuck between eventuri, infinity design and that. PRL and COBB are my backups if those arent that great

Managed to find it after some digging lol.

Saw a YouTube video about someone saying that most of the FL5 intakes create "idle issues". The video also mentioned how Cobb doesn't have the issue (while also saying his cobb intake flew apart). Has anyone else experienced this problem? What is it?

Minimum octane is 91, I usually get Sunoco 94 for peace of mind. Just make sure you're using at the least top tier 91 (top tier is a branding thing that has minimum qualifications, you can look them up)
