I use a quadlock suction cup mount on the center of my windshield, then use my cell phone with the Track Addict app. Quadlock has suction and a sort of re-useable adhesive built into it. Pretty good for the casual track day. I will probably break down and get a Garmin Catalyst soon.
It really all comes down to how hard/fast you're driving. I turn off Traction control but leave the rest on. Occasionally I'll feel the rears give a little squeeze and the car turns a bit more, but I'm not driving at 100%, probably more like 90% but the car is still fast. At the end of the...
Ooh, dealer two doesn't pay dealer 1, even though you paid for the car, dealer one comes to pick up the car. Wild if this is the case. Super shady dealer two as well. selling to you without clean title? All speculation of course. This is like a cliffhanger!!
Yes, I run it always. I live in NC so pretty temperate climate although some cold days in the winter. I also change the oil just before a track event religiously, then run that oil until the next track event. At most I'm putting 2k miles on the oil and filter before a change. I usually go to...
5W-30 in my opinion. Just from advice here on the forums and such. Most any full synthetic will suffice. I use Quaker State or Pennzoil Platinum. Both have the classifications required as far as I know.
get a Type S Damper Module to take out some of the bounce. Other than you will get used to it. I suspect you'll be so busy on track that it won't bother you. Oh, remember to breathe slowly if you can.
Congrats on one of the coolest cars ever!!
FWIW, I just had my windshield replaced and they used the Pilkington Glass instead of OEM. OEM would have been like 2k+, Pilkington was just under 1k all in I think. Also, the glass dealer would normally recalibrate all the sensors, but they wouldn't because my car is lowered. They said if...
Hey, anybody here interested in the Trackdaze event at VIR, Oct. 30,31. Three hours track time each day if you are intermediate or above. Plus, Grand Course for the first day. It's one of the only chances at the grand course all year. $625. Not bad for 6 hours of track time!
