Looks good I’m trying to decide if I want to go 20% on my SGP and maybe 70% on the windshield . I’ve got a couple of days to decide lol and I keep waffling back and forth from 20 or lighter . Never did a windshield before but tired of the glare when driving into the sun and want to protect the red interior a little more . Wasn’t going to tint this car but had a change of heart .

Tint will distort images compared to just looking through glass. My eyes are good and I prefer to identify objects (police, road hazards, etc.) through the windshield (police, road hazards, etc.) well before I get there. I can see the distortion looking through tint on my rear window. I live in the rural desert southwest, so I often have well over a mile of road in view ahead of me.

I’m still on the fence getting my windshield tinted but with that being said I don’t think there would be enough distortion to stop you from seeing police or road hazards as long as you stay around 70% on the front . Have you actually experienced this or is this just an assumption? And if not what tint did you have ? I think the clarity would be pretty good with a quality tint and installation. But thanks for pointing it out and I’ll definitely look into it .

reviving this thread since i had trouble finding any pics of a 55% all around including windshield. I wanted a balance of clarity/visibility and the heat protection from CA sun with just a bit darker than 70% for glare. Loving it so far.

do you have more pictures of this, particularly a side view. I'm looking for something like this where the red still peeks through.

Do you know if they used xr black or xr plus film, trying to avoid the blue hue ideally.

It is the xr plus, seems very quality, and you can definitely still see the red peek through especially on a sunny day it is hardly noticeable. In the shade and at night time you will notice it looks darker from the outside. Heres a few side shots with slightly different lighting. I feel tint is best seen in person because camera image processing and different lighting angles can really alter what it looks like. This place had floor examples you could choose from which was nice.
