Mugen Ventilated Window Visors

Decided it was time to add more Mugen goodies to the FL5.

With the new 11th gen Civics, I’ve noticed that there wasn’t much of a prominent rain channel on the roof. This usually meant that any water that was still around after rain would inadvertently come into the cabin if your window was slightly opened with great ease.

Whether you are thinking of OEM or Mugen visors, I highly recommend either of them as it just makes living with the car a lot more enjoyable.

This is the blurb from their website:

With the case of the ordinary visors, when the side window is open even slightly, air emitted from the front opening flows upward along the window and re-enters the passenger compartment.

However, the MUGEN visor design has so unique configuration that it prevents the back flow and efficiently uses negative pressure to discharge air from the passenger compartment.

Furthermore, wind noise is significantly reduced compared to that generated by many other visor fitments, while at the same time rainwater is prevented from entering the passenger compartment; both factors that provide a substantial improvement in passenger comfort.

Does it work? It seems like it’s a tad bit quieter than the fk8 oem visors I’ve had but its marginal. Key is to have a visor for any water dripping in since the FL platform has a very shallow rain channel on the roof.

I don't know about the Mugen ones but Honda visors are excellent quality.

Mugen ones are *more* bulky, at least the FK ones were. Assume it’s still the same since they have a design on them and aren’t just straight across.
