Oshawa whitby has one too. I would love to know the lige story of these buyers that pay 80k for a type r. Whether used or new lol.
I was just in there this morning and saw it. I was going to inquire but didn't bother. Also, they got some crappy techs working there - Scratched up my rim doing a tire rotation. I knew I should have done it myself.

I think the red one at Newmarket has been advertised for a few weeks on FB marketplace.

Queensway Honda also received a red one as well. I'm supposed to be 2nd in line but who knows with the games that are being played. I only know they got one because I refresh their website daily.

I called my current insurer and previous insurer. Current wants +70% over my current vehicle, previous insurer is +100%.

How nice. Then he'll sell it used with 56km for 20k over msrp. Honda Canada should sell the R's directly to customers.
Just to clear the air for all the speculators here. I am the one that bought the Rallye Red unit that just came in at Campus Honda. Yes, I am the parts manager, and I've been with the dealership for 11 years. I put my name down for this car 3 years ago when Honda did the unveiling and have been waiting ever since. No special treatment. No line cutting. I was spot six at the dealership and got car six. I've been wanting this car since seeing the spy shots of it in the Type R camo wrap touring around Germany. I am definitely keeping this car! I've also seen all of the previous 5 allocations come to the dealership and I have met all of the owners. All but 1 is still with the original buyer. Maybe don't be so quick to judge a fellow car guy next time...

I think most here are just jaded/frustrated, it’s a large majority dealers being shady with their dealings more often than not. Trying for years while being repeatedly told stories for why add ons are required or that the car is sold but shows up for sale ‘used’ at their own dealership.

Glad you got it, sounds like it found the right hands :)

I can definitely understand the frustration. I've heard all sorts of stories about dealers either tacking on a whole bunch of accessoris/services, or massively lowballing your trade in. It's really unfortunate that we are getting so few units in Canada. The plaque on my car is 46846 so they've already matched the FK8 production numbers in only 3 years. This car is really special, so hopefully more enthusiasts get their hands on them.

Quoted the Newmarket one, they want 70k before tax. They also quoted me 84mth financing, which after taxes comes out to a grand total of $100k.

Yep, think I'm done looking for this car.

Thats a new miata and a new civic hybrid plus many thousands of cash left for fun mods. Superior experience if you have the garage space that is!

According to my build sheet that was in the car, it rolled off the assembly line 04/25/2025. Do you have the build sheet on yours?

I've had it just over a week and a half and I've already put on over 1600km... This thing is amazing! My S2000 is the other toy. I'm definitely a Honda guy haha.
