I called every dealer regarding the cars that have been posted here for this recent drop. All of them are sold already.

I even left a deposit with the Lombardi dealership, they confirmed they had it and i just got the news that apparently it was already sold yesterday. Lets see if they "relist" at 69k just like they have with their current Grey Type R. Very disappointing experience.

Hamburg Honda has a SGP. They expect you to take a whole bunch of add-ons. Took my deposit for 2 weeks and slow rolled me, could have just said straight up from the beginning they weren't interested in selling just the car.

Well, the thing is there are people willing to pay 70k for a CTR, that's that's why dealers keep doing this even to this day when sales have been slowing. Time will tell how long they'll keep this practice up..

Unfortunately, there's no end in sight for that. Any model from any brand that is in high demand will get marked up. I thought having government regulated group would help to prevent the price gouging from happening but just looking at AutoTrader or CarGurus shows it's not working.

I believe they've had that one for a while now. Now we know why.

I couldn't find any info that hamburg had one, but some guy randomly messaged me on reddit telling me that they're going to receive one any day now and that I should follow through. Was a bit sus but I followed the lead anyway to see where it goes. I wonder now if it was a dealership ploy trying to play people on the "oh its arriving any day now".

There is a listing on autotrader for center-ville Honda. Contacted them also. Sold to a guy who put his deposit 2 years ago.

How nice. Then he'll sell it used with 56km for 20k over msrp. Honda Canada should sell the R's directly to customers.
