I was answering vlad question on why one would buy RV6 downpipe. I've got kuro with RV6 bypass valve attached to RV6 dp,fp going into boost logic exhaust. Don't believe you could do better lol
During my intensive research in the “Downpipe Differences” thread. RV6 was the only downpipe that I read about multiple people saying the cat in their RV6 downpipe seized up.

None yet, I want the 27won downpipe as it’s the only 200 cell cat downpipe on the market that I found. Kinda like TSP is the only 400 cell cat downpipe.

All the other downpipes on the market seem to be 300 cell cats or catless.

I’m trying to save some money and buy a downpipe off of someone impatient who buys the 27won turbo back exhaust but doesn’t want to use the 27won downpipe lol

Per a 27won email, their catback won’t fit other downpipes…

So where does my math go wrong?

OEM DP + OEM catback = ok
27won DP + OEM catback = ok
27won DP + 27won catback = ok
OEM DP + 27won catback = Not ok

The math ain’t mathing.

thanks for the response. I sent you guys an email earlier. So can I just order the turbo back system and not install the downpipe? Definitely want the resonated system to run with stock downpipe.
No, don't do that ? . Please wait for the official release of resonated catbacks for stock downpipe. There is a reason why the release was staggered. @svvitch touched upon it

I bought RV6 downpipe because they don't make a bad product. Everything I have from them is very high quality. Ben Wong was answering my questions before I was even a customer.
I'm not a fan of PRL and wouldn't ever buy there stuff so for a lot of reasons. So TSP relabel Dp was a no go for me.
I don't understand why one would pay almost 3k for a stainless steel exhaust. However some questions will never be understood ?
I mean, the real reason would be it takes a lot to design, R&D, source, manufacture, and distribute an exhaust whether stainless or not.

Good insight on reason though. I appreciate it.

If you planned on getting a TSP downpipe later shouldn't I just get the nonresonated catback?

It seems like…

To get the exact exhaust tone from the 27won videos you MUST use their downpipe.

If you use a different brand downpipe, it WILL fit BUT the exhaust tone will differ from their videos.

I am pretty sure regardless of what aftermarket DP you pick (RV6, TSP, 27won, or even Dream Automotive), The tone won’t change since they’re literally all made of the same material, 304 stainless steel. The main difference would be volume or raspiness due to the various sized cats from each company (400, 300 or 200 cell cats). But those differences are minuscule. Plus, sound is pretty subjective, especially when listening to videos online.

Only big differences you’d see (tone and volume wise) is if you compare the OEM DP with any Aftermarket DP. Since the Stock catalytic converter has the most restriction out of all your basic bolt on mods you’d buy.

That’s what I was thinking too.

Was just trying to make it all make sense. ?

With with remark after waiting, I hope this meets expectations, but I don’t have any regrets.

lol 27won and Honda dealers know that hype game. Tsp is the best downpipe hands down and no issues with emissions calling shenanigans

That doesn't really answer my question though.

I guess I'm asking if I buy the catback resonated version, could I retrofit a TSP downpipe later down the line
