Any rubbing with your tires and suspension setup?
Lowered on swift springs and no rubbing whatsoever. You may get the occasional scrub on the lower plastic strip underneath the front bumper encountering those insane driveways or speed bumps due to the lower ground clearance but as far as wheel/tire to the body, none. And I’ve driven it pretty hard.

This setup is gtg.

Post # 311 -- Champ White Type R with Spoon Wheels. This looks really great! If I get these wheels from spoon, same specs, do I have to lower the car so that it's flush? Want to get this and maintain stock suspension but I think the +40 offset will poke. Thoughts? Thank you!!
Yeah, I'm lowered on Swift Springs. You don't need to lower it for the wheels to sit flush but there will be a gap between the tires and the fender.

So far I have driven around 12+ miles on these. Won't go up any time soon as I NEVER drive this car. Just hit 200 miles and I'm a year in.

No rubbing. Probably should have gone with 285/35/18. Just ordered, so I'll test fit them when I get a chance. Also ordered Swifts. Will test those with the 275s and see if I like the fitment better.

Been looking into getting a set for my car once it comes in. Do the newer Saga SLs have close to the same concave on the face as the discontinued SLs? Would be getting the 18x9.5 +45 size in pressed graphite.

Finally got my wheels installed that I got from System Motorsports over a year ago. Figured I would get some mileage out of the stock tires before making the change. I think they turned out great. Just need to decide if I'm going to put the stickers on or leave as is.

Anyone running 18x9.5 +38 on 275/35s on swifts? I am wondering if that set up rubs... I would hate to install them and have it rub, and then remove it and install camber plates... tryna save myself extra work. Removing guide pins would be enough?

I think removing the guide pins is sufficient. I know 3 friends who run that same combo with no issues. I also have 18x9.5 +38 on my car and looking to switch from 265/35 to 275/35. Don’t take my word for it though, as I personally haven’t switched yet.

Some 275/35’s run wider than others. My advice is to compare the tread section width of the tires you are looking to purchase to tires that are known to fit without issue or to just simply go with those known non issue setups.

I just got my 18x9.5 +45 Apex VS-5RS wheels in, and I still can’t decide on what size tire to run. I am leaning towards a DWS06+ in 265/35/18, but I like the idea of a 40 sidewall to fill out the fender well a bit more and to protect the wheels from potholes. I also like the look of a meaty fitment.

I have also considered a 275/35/18 or 275/40/18. After reading through all 23 pages the most popular choice is far and away the 265/35/18 on my wheel size. Anyone have any experience on running a 40 sidewall on the Type R? Or negatives to running that or a 275?

Just found this guy is running 18x9.5 +38 on swifts with 275/35s no modification to camber.
